Hear the crash of the ocean waves on the cliffs, less than 1000' away. A short walk to the ocean cliffs; take a few chairs and beverages and watch the sunset. During humpback whale season watch for whales. Rainbows over the ocean are a weekly event! Centrally located between Hilo, Pahoa and Volcano.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />One bedroom with a queen bed that has sliding doors to the back lanai (porch) for you to enjoy your coffee or your candlelight dinner. One bathroom with a shower that uses collected and filtered rainwater. A fully outfitted kitchen with gas stove, full-size refrigerator, microwave, countertop convection oven/toaster, coffeemaker, blender and all the dishes, pots/pans/soap/spices/olive oil/condiments/ice trays/wineglasses you could need. The attached living room has a tropical style couch and chair, a smart TV, a Roku w/Hulu, a DVD player, a library of DVDs, and WIFI. The internet is strong and capable of Zoom meetings, etc. Based on guest reviews there is a new memory foam mattress topper for those who prefer a less firm mattress.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The house also has a front lanai (porch) with a table and chairs complete with an outdoor rug. The back lanai has an outdoor rattan couch, a dining table and chairs, a rug, bar stools and some "party lights" for nighttime ambiance. The best hang out spot may be the covered carport which has been transformed into an outdoor dining/BBQ room/tiki bar complete with tables and chairs, a BBQ with charcoal and a charcoal starter (uses newspaper, not lighter fluid, and gets coals going fast), a cooler, rugs, and a tiki torch (only light in yard).<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Taxes will be added in to your total. <br /><br />Best to buy groceries in Hilo or Kona for the best choice and price Kona has Costco; Hilo has Safeway, Target, KTA, Foodland). Pahoa has a new Malama Market which has a nice deli and even a bar. Please read the information book in the cottage!<br /><br />Note that Hawaii can be humid and the tropics has bugs.
