Aloha and welcome to your 1st-floor, large private suite located in Kailua Kona on The Big Island of Hawaii. Enjoy all that the island has to offer while staying in a quiet residential neighborhood in an extremely desirable prime location in Kona! Walk to Magic Sands Beach and catch a beautiful Kona sunset at night! Free beach item use: beach chairs, coolers, snorkel gear, boogie boards, and beach umbrellas. Central location close to restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. On-site parking.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Your ground-floor one-bedroom space has a private entrance and is attached to a shared, larger family home located on a quarter-acre property in a quiet and peaceful residential neighborhood with a mix of local residents and vacation rental homes. Walking distance to the popular beach Magic Sands is just one of the many perks of this location. Enjoy a nice dinner and drinks nearby at Magic's Beach Grill. And just a short drive down Ali'i Drive has one of the best snorkeling spots on the island at Kahalu'u Beach Park. Typically sunny Kailua Kona offers a prime location on the Big Island, centrally located near shopping, restaurants, beaches, and water adventures. If you're really up for an adventure, you can head north to Kohala, south to Green Sands Beach, or drive across 'Saddle Road' to the eastern part of the island to experience the beauty of the 'wet' side in the town of Hilo. <br /><br />I'm on property to answer questions and accommodate requests whenever possible. There is also a hose near your private entry door to rinse off any sand when returning from a beach trip. We have a drying rack just outside your door for hanging wet towels or swimwear. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, cooking ware, utensils, a hot plate, a microwave, an air fryer, and more for your convenience. There is also a coffee pot with a complimentary starter set of coffee. Washer/Dryer with complimentary soap. The hot water is on-demand, electric. Keep in mind that the on-demand heating unit is on the opposite side of the house and may take a minute to heat up and reach your area.<br />There is also an air-conditioning unit in your bedroom for your convenience. Please note that Air Conditioning is only in the bedroom. There's a ceiling fan and a Vornado fan in the living room.<br /><br />I want to describe to you the multifamily home so you have an idea of the layout: there are two separate private vacation rentals located on the first floor, and a private three-bedroom home on the second floor (the two different vacation rentals located on the first floor are across from each other on separate sides of the main driveway). I live upstairs with my family. We try our best to make as little noise as possible so as not disturb you during your stay. You may occasionally hear footsteps or water pipes, but generally, everyone in the house lives with aloha and respects everyone on the property.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />You have access to a washer and dryer in your unit, with soap and dryer sheets provided. The garbage containers are located on the back concrete driveway for trash disposal. There are three large rolling trash bins; please use any of them. We also have recycling bins located under the stairway for plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and glass. Parking is located off the street next to our blue mailbox. The neighborhood has plenty of mature trees, beautiful flowers, and abundant beautiful birds. There is a friendly dog and cat on the property that love attention if you happen to see them:)<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />The property you are staying on is slightly larger than a 1/4 acre. It consists of your private 1-bedroom vacation rental on the ground floor with a separate studio vacation rental across the driveway, and a 3-bedroom residence located above on the second floor. Most of the windows are louvered shutters that allow cool Hawaiian air to flow throughout the living spaces. The bedroom in your apartment does have sliding windows that close to allow the air conditioner to easily cool your bedroom. We are 11 miles from the airport, about 17- 30 minutes depending on traffic.<br />We also want let you know that we don’t have traditional cable TV, but we do provide a smart TV where you can log into your favorite streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, or others. Please feel free to use your own accounts and enjoy your shows during your stay!
