The unit is updated, but common areas may feel a bit dated.<br />▪️ Maintenance Schedule: Routine building maintenance (plumbing, pest control, etc.) usually occurs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Notices are posted in the elevators and we’ll do our best to inform you as well.<br />▪️ Plumbing Sensitivity: The pipes are older and may result in occasional slow drains or water shutoffs (usually brief and scheduled).<br />▪️ Tropical Bugs: Despite professional pest control, occasional sightings (like small roaches) may happen—it’s part of island life in Hawaii.<br />▪️ Noise: Though located on a high floor, some street or city noise may be heard, especially during busy times.<br />▪️ Recreation Deck Renovation: The recreation deck and many amenities (hot tubs, BBQ, playground, tennis/pickleball courts, fitness room) are currently closed for a year-long renovation. Only the sauna is available.<br /><br />If these factors are deal-breakers, we completely understand and recommend booking a newer property. Aloha!<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />When you arrive in Waikiki, head to the building called Waikiki Banyan located at:<br />201 ʻŌhua Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815<br /><br />Each floor has a convenient laundry room with coin-operated machines or you can use the PayRange App to pay. The laundry room is located at the end of the hall, directly across from the trash chute (trash room).<br /><br />You will receive a smart lock code to enter the unit, ensuring a seamless, keyless check-in experience.<br /><br />This is a private accommodation — the apartment is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Relax, unwind, and make yourself at home!<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />We provide detailed self check-in instructions via email before your arrival—please make sure we have your correct contact information.<br /><br />No parties or unauthorized guests are allowed.<br /><br />Maximum occupancy is 4 guests. The queen sofa bed accommodates the 3rd and 4th guests. If you need sofa bed linens, please let us know ahead of time.<br /><br />Please remove your shoes when entering the home to help keep it clean.<br /><br />No pets are allowed in the unit.<br /><br />No smoking inside the apartment.<br /><br />Due to the central and convenient location, some noise from street traffic, nearby music, pool, or restaurant patios is possible. The building’s AC units are standard and may produce some background noise. If you’re noise sensitive, please consider this when booking.<br /><br />A large grocery store is nearby, perfect for picking up food, beach gear, and toiletries.<br /><br />Building management conducts routine maintenance. We are not in control of scheduling, so please check the elevator announcements for any notices during your stay.<br /><br />In Hawaii’s tropical climate, occasional bugs may appear. While we proactively maintain pest control to keep the unit as bug-free as possible, sightings can still occur from time to time.<br /><br />Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
