The pier is also the starting point for the Ironman World Championship, typically held each October.<br /><br />Nearby conveniences include Safeway, Walmart, Target, Starbucks, and other stores within approximately 4 miles. Costco is about 8 miles away, and Kona International Airport is approximately 11 miles away.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />This home sits inside a gated community of 16 homes with access to a heated outdoor pool , a tennis court and lava rock beach.<br /><br />Pool access - Guests have access to the gated pool just steps from the villa. Swim in the pool at your own risk, as no lifeguards are on duty. Small children need to be supervised at all times. <br /><br />Beach access - Guests can use the same key to access the beach area, just steps across the house near house number 5. This is a lava rock beach like most beaches in Kona. <br /><br />The guests will have access to the entire house, except for the garage and a couple cabinets that are locked to store additional supplies. <br /><br />Parking is only allowed on the driveway.
