Full, high-end private bathroom. A lovely, large breakfast is included and set out for you each morning. Just push a button for freshly ground and brewed coffee! We also offer an assortment of teas, orange juice, eggs, yogurts, granola, croissants, muffins, Danish, Belgium waffles with maple and lilikoi syrups, croissant breakfast sandwiches with egg, cheese and sausage, a variety of bagels with cream cheese, toasts, and an assortment of jams and local honeys. Complimentary breakfast each morning on your private lanai is a huge hit with guests! Our breakfast offers a great value in an area where breakfast can easily cost $100 for a couple per day.<br /><br />Guests have use of the entire main floor, which includes the kitchen, and sole use of the dining room, living room, and a large lanai, in addition to their private guest room and bathroom. (There are no other guests during your stay.) The beautiful and extremely comfortable lanai is L-shaped, with carpeting, and original artwork. It is furnished with arm chairs with foot rests in one area, and a dining table and chairs in another area. It also has a Viking gas grill, sink, and granite counter tops and cabinetry in the dining area. The lanai makes a perfect setting for your complimentary welcome cocktails and snack. It's also an enjoyable spot for bird watching (you can feed them) or to sit and read. Also enjoy in-room cable TV, or a 55'' TV with over 100 channels, including Netflix, in the living room, and of course, high-speed Internet. <br /><br />The upstairs is private. It includes our master suite, office, and our own separate lanai. It's where we work and dine and spend our time when at home. <br /><br />IMPORTANT NOTE: <br />Our accommodations are not for a bedroom where multiple bedrooms are being rented out. And It is not for an entire town home with multiple, unused bedrooms, at a higher cost, without personal assistance available. Our accommodations offer a great deal of privacy and are ideal for just one couple.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />*Access Mauna Lani's private Beach Club with protected cove featuring spectacular coral gardens and tons of fish. Possibly the best and easiest-to-access snorkeling on the Big Island. The Beach Club also offers a lovely restaurant, bar, cabana lounge chairs, restrooms, outdoor showers, drinking water and full resort amenities, making this beach a true hidden gem on the Kohala Coast. Walkway from the club beach leads along the shoreline, past ancient sacred fish ponds and past the beaches fronting the Fairmont Orchid and the Mauna Lani beach resort hotels. We would be happy to drop you off at the Beach Club so you might make this spectacular walk, ending back at our town home. Very special!<br /><br />*We have beach towels, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, floats, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and much more for your use. We have a very extensive collection of guide books and maps for your use. Some are specialized for hiking, beaches, snorkeling, or other activities. And we also have wonderful fiction and non fiction books about Hawaii.<br /><br />*Within the Kulalani property, you can enjoy a lagoon pool rimmed by shade-providing thatched umbrellas, a palm tree-lined lap pool, two Jacuzzis, fully equipped health club with walls of glass, showers and lockers, and a poolside, open-air, professional style kitchen with barbecue grill and lovely covered dining area. <br /><br />*In our town house, you have a private bedroom, private full bathroom, <br /> and full access to the first floor, which includes sole use of areas such as the living room, dining area, and fully furnished lanai with outdoor kitchen. The kitchen is used by our guests and us. However, we work around our guests' activity in the kitchen so that they are always given priority and privacy when they are using it. The upper level is private. You will rarely see us, unless we can help you or advise you in any way.<br /><br /><b>During your stay</b><br />We love to help our guests in any way possible, such as providing tips and personal insights in order to make their visit to the Big Island as successful and memorable as possible. We want guests to feel at home, and we strive to provide our guests with maximum privacy. Therefore, many guests see us only upon check-in, when we welcome them and give them an orientation and assistance---- and again upon check-out. But we are always available to give help or advice. Guests have their own concierge service available 24 hours/day :-)<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />One recurring theme repeated in the reviews, which has made us extremely happy, is that so many of our guests are planning to come back and visit us again. Some of our guests have returned for five, and now, six times, and have stayed longer.
