This is our family home as well and we prefer natural flow. Fans and windows in every room. Past guests have said it's comfortable without ac and a benefit is -it keeps the rental rate low. <br /><br />If you NEED air conditioning or oceanfront - then please pay for direct on the beach prices and DO NOT reserve with me. The condos are set up in twos, a ground floor unit and an upstairs unit. Units are arranged in a graceful oval surrounding a large garden area with two swimming pools, palms, other tropical trees & flowers. A bbq grill &large swimming pool is right outside the lanai. There is a sense of peace and privacy that is not present in the large resorts.<br /><br />Begin your day with a quick walk ACROSS the street at one of the smaller beaches and greet the turtles. Witness an unforgettable sunset and or humpback whales breaching during season. Take a plunge into the deep, cool & shady pool. Appreciate the tropical landscape of Pohailani while barbecuing fresh Island produce from local farmers markets. Trade winds helps to cool warm days. So does a dip in the pool or ocean. <br />- Smoking including electronic cigarettes is NOT allowed in condo or on Lanai. There are smoking areas on complex. <br />- LOUD OBNOXIOUS PARTYING is NOT ALLOWED. This is a decent local neighborhood.<br /><br />Welcome to MAUI - you will love it here!<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Pohailani is your home! You are on own to check in and check out. This is not a hotel thus no hotel like services ( no front desk, mail service or housekeeping). There are 2 parts of Pohailani separated by the lower honoapiilani road - the ocean side and the mountain side. We are on the cool tropical mountain side where the 2 pools, tennis court and BBQ is located. The Ocean side is right on the water - with BBQ, picnic bench and sunning chairs. GREAT sunset and whale watching from the wall here! The condo manual will be available for you and includes pool times, etc. We ask that you abide by the community rules. The property Resident manager lives onsite. Private lanai, deep swimming pool, kids pool, bbq grills, common area, picnic areas including ocean portion of Pohailani, tennis court, laundry facilities,parking, beach access on 8 acres.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />"Minimum Age Limit for Renters: We like to limit renters to 22 years old and up but will make exceptions if you can assure us of your reliability. To make your departure easier we have put together a quick checklist of items that need to be taken care of prior to your departure. This insures our home is prepared and ready for next guest’s arrival. As a reminder check out time is 11AM HST, unless you have coordinated other arrangements with Maile. <br /><br /> Dishes are washed – soiled dishes are cleaned. Run the garbage disposal with lots of water for a few seconds.<br /> Remove all trash (large dumpster across the way from front door)<br />It is ok to leave good perishables for next guests.<br /> All contents belonging to the unit are present and in good condition upon departure<br /> KEYS! LEave (1) Front door lock box key in lockbox, PLUS (1) pool key and (1) front door key here you found them in kitchen. <br /> PARKING PERMIT left with keys <br /> All ceiling fans, fans, appliances and lights are turned off<br /> Please mark below the beds that were slept in:<br />o Master<br />o Guest<br />o Sofa Bed - please remove bedding if used<br /><br />SAND! Please shake sand OFF of clothing, towels, body, equipment before entering home. It stresses the washer/dryer/vacuum. Water hose at end of cul de sac. PLEASE TAKE WET ITEMS to Lanai area first. Do NOT walk wet items thru the condo or sit on bed and furniture.
