Cozy bedroom (1 of 4) w/ keypad entry, queen bed, small desk, chair, & closet. Shared kitchen & 2 bathrooms if other guests.
Charming SOFA District Gated Victorian (2nd St.) is a 5 minutes walk to Adobe, Zoom, EY, San Jose McEnery Convention Center, Center for Performing Arts, SJ Civic Center, SAP (Sharks hockey & concerts), SJSU, Ca. Theater, Children's Discovery Museum, Tech Museum, Rock Climbing gym, Jui Jitsu & Boxing gyms, yoga studio, SOFA Market, San Pedro Square, restaurants, & bars.

The space
Cozy and clean, locked Bedroom 3 is for up to two people in a queen bed and has hard wood flooring and 2 large new windows.

There are some toiletries in the room in case you forgot something. We also have items for sale so don’t hesitate to ask if you need something extra.
There are extra blankets on the closet shelf.
There is a smart TV in your room. There is plenty of closet space to put your belongings and there is a towel in the room and water bottle.
The bathroom is shared with other guests so schedule time accordingly. (And only use main entrance to bathroom please.)
The home has HVAC system and large water heater.

We like our property because it is walking distance and uber distance to many places - including the convention center, center for performing arts, tech museum, SJSU Shark Tank (SAP) etc. Downtown has much to offer as there are many restaurants, bars coffee shops, and workout locations in walking distance. If you want to venture out on a day trip, like Santa Cruz, Napa, Carmel, Capitola, San Francisco, Monterey etc., we have super easy access to the freeway. The 280 entrance is a couple blocks up. We are a very short uber ride from the airport as well which is convenient after a long flight.

You are welcome to use the washer and dryer on the back porch, but please ask availability, and we ask a $4 donation per load for both, for soap and pg&e.

Welcome to becoming part of our AirBnB family during your stay!

Guest access
You can spend time in the dining room, bathrooms, and kitchen, but note these are shared spaces so please clean up after yourself. Wash your dishes, for example.

Do not enter other rooms and no un-registered guests are allowed on the premises. The laundry washing machine and dryer is on the back porch if you need it during an extended stay.

I have 2 other units on the property. The studio is an Airbnb rental and you have no access of course, and the basement apartment (separate entrance, is for my son Nick (works at tech company) or myself only as I do not rent this space out.

During your stay
I am available by phone most the time. I am in and out of the home and sometimes travel, but if I am in town, you will see me. Nicolas has a black Tesla in driveway, and I have a Maserati Levante S. Please ask if parking is available, if you have a rental car.

Other things to note
Early check in or late check out is $25/hour with advanced written approval in app messaging.

Parking is in the back of the house rather than the front (permission required as well as letting us know make of vehicle and it is based on availability ).
It is an old-fashioned layout so from the front yard you enter through an iron gate. The gate has a typical lever you lift on the left side inside the door to open it. That doesn’t have a lock on it.

If you are parking your car at our place, (based on availability so do schedule as we only have 2 spots & 4 rooms), enter the chapel parking lot from Reed St. (across from Notre Dame High School) and proceed straight to the connecting alley. Our driveway is the first on the right. You can also park in front of the house (easiest), except Tuesday night because of street cleaning.

Note: free parking under the freeway overpass to the left of the house on 2nd St. across the street. It is free during the weekend and weeknights and $5/day m-f which is really inexpensive for downtown San Jose.

Parking is free in front of our house but DO NOT park there Tuesday night because of street sweepers or you will get a ticket. There are signs marked accordingly.

Urban area- walking distance to convention center. Near 280 overpass.

Only use the main entrance for the bathroom. There are adjoining doors to the bathroom but they have a note saying please not use these doors. I do this to prevent the main door from getting locked and accidentally forgotten to unlock. Clean the showers after every use- including making sure there is no hair in drain or water on the floor. Wipe the shower to dry it.

When you use the kitchen, don’t leave crumbs around or dirty dishes or food, as other guests deserve clean surfaces and floor, just like you.

Quiet time is 10:00pm during the week, to respect others and their work schedule.

There is downtown city noise - 280 overpass, jets entering San Jose Airport, Sirens occasionally, etc. we have ear plugs if you like (there are some in the drawer or in the candy bowl by the front door.) or you can book elsewhere if you can’t handle noise please.

The bathrooms are shared. We are down to earth and deal with it, but if you want your own bathroom this is not the place for you.

We have a motion camera facing the front yard gate and back of the house driveway for safety reasons. These are not monitored. It deletes automatically in time. This is just a safety precaution.

Other than that, welcome!
