Entertaining the whole gang after a day on the slopes will be a breeze with the fully equipped kitchen featuring a gas range to prepare tasty meals and a living area with a plush leather sectional sofa and flatscreen TV to stream favorite shows on. <br /><br />Come winter, NorthStar and the unbeatable ski runs will be calling your name, so bring your gear along and shred fresh powder to your heart's content just under a mile from home base. Don't worry about driving either, as the five-minute shuttle ride can whisk you to the mountain in no time. Venture out a bit further and you can easily find yourself in downtown Truckee (seven miles north) or taking a dip in the blue waters of Lake Tahoe (eight miles southeast).<br /><br />Enjoy access to the Northstar recreation center amenities, which include tennis courts, basketball courts, a fitness center, a sauna, a hot tub, a seasonal lap pool, and an open grill area next to a beautiful creek surrounded by pine, fir, and aspen trees. (Site rentals include the use of three picnic tables and up to two gas BBQ grills with grilling utensils.) There is a $10 daily fee per person for use of the facilities.
