Double French doors open onto a spacious flagstone patio, where birdsong and hillside gardens create a peaceful retreat overlooking an open space preserve with views of Mt. Tamalpais. It’s the perfect place to unwind after work or adventure, with easy access to both nature and nearby urban amenities.<br /><br />The home features a bright, renovated luxury master king suite plus two additional ensuite bedrooms on a private wing, offering excellent separation and privacy. There are 3 full bathrooms, abundant natural light, and multiple sliding doors that open directly to the outdoors. The home stays naturally cool in summer beneath 70-foot coastal redwoods.<br /><br />The fully equipped kitchen includes two high-end ovens, an electric glass cooktop island, microwave, large refrigerator, dishwasher, and all essential cookware and utensils. A large glass dining table comfortably seats six.<br /><br />Located near the base of Mount Tamalpais in the Oak Manor neighborhood of Fairfax, the home sits in the heart of Marin County’s natural beauty. This area is known for rolling hills, lush greenery, and proximity to the Marin Lakes region, Point Reyes National Seashore, and Loma Alta Open Space Preserve—making it a haven for hiking, biking, surfing, kayaking, and outdoor exploration.<br />Despite its peaceful setting, the location offers easy access to major highways, the ferry to San Francisco, and nearby towns including Sausalito, Mill Valley, and Petaluma. You’re less than an hour from San Francisco or Sonoma wine country.<br /><br />Downtown Fairfax offers a vibrant local scene with boutique shops, art galleries, live music venues, and the historic Fairfax Theater. The town also features excellent dining, cafes, and everyday conveniences, all with a strong creative, community-driven spirit.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The garage is used for our personal storage, but laundry is available and free. There is one parking spot available in the driveway, along with plenty of free street parking in front of the home.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Linens & Towels:<br />Fresh linens, towels, and makeup removal towels are provided. Extra blankets are available in the closet.<br /><br />Kitchen:<br />Fully equipped for your stay. Complimentary coffee, tea, and filtered water are provided. Coffee maker and microwave are on the counter.<br /><br />Cleaning Supplies:<br />Basic cleaning supplies can be found under the kitchen sink if needed.<br /><br />Trash & Recycling:<br />Please use the outdoor bins for disposal. Blue is for recycling, black is for trash, and green is for compost and garden waste.<br /><br />Safety First:<br />Emergency contact: Daniel, your host.<br />Fire extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink.<br />First aid kit is in each bathroom cabinet.<br />Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are installed throughout the home.
