Then come inside to enjoy the warmth of the gas fireplace and the great room that connect to the open, modern kitchen with a large island and a wet bar, perfect for entertaining friends and family.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />This house is in a rural neighborhood of Santa Rosa / Sonoma County (Bennett Valley), right in the heart of wine country. It's on a ridge and nestled on 3 acres. While you have neighbors, you almost don't see them when you're at the house, and there are no neighborhood street lights, so you feel like you've really escaped (the stars on a clear night are awe inspiring).<br /><br />Details:<br />- One large primary bedroom (King size bed) with connected master bath, small room for office or nursery, and a closet. <br />- Two smaller regular bedrooms (both with Queen beds). <br />- Pullout sofa in the living room, plus a separate cushiony mattress topper that you can use on the pullout, or place directly on the floor.<br />- Queen sized blow up air mattress (located in large closet in primary br)<br />- Dining room connects to living room, with a panoramic window that reveals incredible views of the valley! <br />- Great room with a gas fireplace that adjoins an open kitchen with a large island, bar stools for 5, and a wet bar. The fireplace is at the center of the kitchen and great room and is the heart of the house. Great room has big picture windows on either side, revealing more of the lovely nature that surrounds, and the room is well lit with natural lighting. <br />- All new appliances, cabinets, and designer touches! <br />- Fully stocked and loaded kitchen. <br />- Enormous deck that wraps around the back side of the house, with two levels that take advantage of the incredible views!<br />- Indoor dining table seats 8 people.<br />- Outdoor dining table easily seats 10 people. <br />- Lovely gardens and walking paths all around<br />- Large hot tub (comfortably seats 7-8) under a gazebo out in the garden, taking advantage of more views. <br /><br />The house is kid-friendly. There is a playground on one side of the deck. However, please make sure children don't wander off - the property is not fully fenced. The front yard is fully fenced and provides plenty of space for children to run around. The deck also has gates that close securely at all entrances.<br /><br />This home is peace and tranquility, will all the modern amenities to entertain or just settle in. You'll never want to leave!<br /><br />If you do wander off the property, you'll find that there are plenty places to go wine tasting in the immediate vicinity of Bennett Valley, Kenwood, and Glen Ellen (home of the famous and loved restaurant Glen Ellen Star). In Kenwood, there's the historic Morton's Warm Springs, which has three swimming pools that are naturally 90-95 degrees year-round, fed by hot springs under the ground, with a giant outdoor lawn and creekside picnic tables (a favorite of our children!). <br />It's a 10 minute drive to Santa Rosa proper. <br /><br />Sebastopol and the town of Sonoma are each about 20 minutes away, Napa and Calistoga about half an hour, or you can head to Healdsburg in about 45 minutes.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />You are welcome to use all spaces in the home. You can even park in the garage. The property is 3 acres and you're welcome to wander the property as well.
