Located between the Mission and Potrero Hill, you’re close to cafes, shops, and venues. We live on site in main residence and share the property during guest stays. Whether you're here for work or leisure with your family, this retreat offers everything you need for a comfortable and productive stay.<br /><br /><br />A Private & Peaceful Escape in the City<br /><br />Our Carriage House is a fully detached, private building, offering complete seclusion and privacy. Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood, it’s the perfect retreat after a busy day in the city. With no shared walls and its own entrance, you’ll feel tucked away from the hustle and bustle while still being just minutes from San Francisco’s top attractions.<br /><br /><br />But don’t take our word for it. Upstairs, you’ll find a cozy bedroom with a plush queen bed and soft linens and a door for privacy, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. To reach the bedroom, guests walk through the loft area, which features a queen Murphy bed. The loft is connected to the living room below via a spiral staircase, creating an open feel between the two levels. Downstairs, the living room includes a queen-size sofa bed, making the space ideal for families or groups of up to six.<br /><br /><br />Fully Stocked Kitchenette<br /><br />For those who enjoy cooking, the fully stocked kitchenette has everything you need to prepare meals at home. You’ll find modern appliances, cookware, and essentials to whip up your favorite dishes. Whether you’re making a quick breakfast or a full dinner, the kitchen is equipped to meet your needs.<br /><br /><br />Work & Entertainment<br /><br />The Carriage House is perfect for both work and leisure. With three TVs located throughout the space, you can enjoy your favorite shows, movies, or games. If you’re working from home, the house is equipped with multiple monitors, tables, and desks to create a productive workspace. It’s a great setup for digital nomads or anyone needing a quiet, comfortable place to focus.<br /><br /><br />Spa-Like Bathroom & Laundry<br /><br />The bathroom is designed for comfort and convenience, with a spacious shower, bathtub, Toto bidet, fresh towels, and toiletries provided. The Carriage House also includes an in-unit washer and dryer, with laundry detergent available, so you’ll have everything you need to settle in and feel at home.<br /><br /><br />Prime Location in San Francisco<br /><br />Located in the vibrant Mission/Potrero neighborhood, you’ll be steps away from some of San Francisco’s best cafes, restaurants, and local shops. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, our space is the perfect place to call home during your stay in the city!<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Guests have exclusive access to the Carriage House, a private retreat tucked behind our main building. Getting there is part of the charm: you’ll pass through our garage using a provided access code, like stepping through a hidden entrance to a cozy speakeasy from another era. From there, a path leads you to the Carriage House.<br /><br />While the courtyard is not part of the Airbnb, you’re welcome to ask about availability, and if it’s free, we’d be happy to let you use it. We live on site during guest stays and share the overall residential property.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Parking & Transportation<br /> • Free & Easy Parking: Street parking is available in the neighborhood. On weekdays (8 AM–6 PM), parking directly on our block is limited to 2 hours due to residential permit zoning (You can also move your car around every 2 hours as needed), but unrestricted all-day parking is available one block north or south of the house. There are no parking restrictions on weekends.<br /> • Public Transit-Friendly: The area is well-connected with multiple bus and train routes just steps away.<br /> • Bikeshare Available: Plenty of Bay Wheels bikeshare stations nearby for easy cycling around the city.<br /> • Walkable Neighborhood: This highly walkable area allows you to explore San Francisco on foot, with everything you need just around the corner.<br /><br />Grocery Stores & Dining<br /> • Grocery Heaven: With five grocery stores within a 5-10 minute walk, including Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and local markets, stocking up is a breeze.<br /> • Food Lover’s Paradise: The neighborhood boasts five Michelin-starred restaurants within walking distance, perfect for an unforgettable dining experience.
