Great location <br />Close to Alpine Meadows for easy access. No traffic just grab the free mountain shuttle. <br /><br />Summer is quiet and peaceful. But just a mile away from truckee river and swimming a fresh water pond. Steps from great hiking , out the back door.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />We have a completely refurbished home in the Heart of Alpine Meadows next to Squaw Valley and Tahoe City. Everything is redone by a bay area Interior designer.<br /><br />The house is a three bedroom with two baths.<br />Master bedroom, king bed and flat screen tv. The Master has a lg bath, includes jacuzzi tub, and river rock shower. Deck off master bedroom accesses the back yard area. <br /><br />The second bedroom has two twins beds or can be put together as a king bed. Third bedroom has a queen bed with flat screen. There is a second bathroom next to the other bedrooms. Washer and dryer on bottom floor next to bedrooms.<br />(Bedroom s downstairs)<br /> <br />Upstairs there is a great room with tons of light and forest and alpine meadows mountain views. View includes munchkins and alpine meadows summit of main room and deck.<br />Fully equipped new stainless steel kitchen with bar area. Lg river rock fireplace with seating area and lg flat screen TV with entertainment system. Dining area seats 7. Outdoor deck with eating area, deck chairs and barbecue. View of forest and mountains. We take in furniture in Winter.<br /><br />Detached double garage for one car to park inside (boat stored in Winter on one side) plus parking for two other cars in front of house. Easy flat access off street into garage. Must let passengers out first before pulling all the way inside garage . There is side door to access covered stairs that go down to front door of house. Salt in garage if slippery with for ice on stairs. Use handrail in Winter. Careful of falling snow or icicle's off roof line. <br />Road is snow plowed regularly, may have snow around outside cars and in a bit after storm in front of garage.Shovels in garage. We have professional shovelers as needed.<br /><br />Things to do in summer:<br />One mile up from Truckee River and River Ranch, Rafting, mountain biking/road biking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and swimming out your front door. Bike trail to Tahoe City is also one mile from home. <br /><br />Park at bottom of hill fresh water pond with beach, barbecue area and tennis courts. Family day pass $40 <br /><br />15 minutes to Truckee by car and 10 minutes to Tahoe City. Great hiking just down the street (5 Lakes and Shirley canyon squaw. <br /><br />I’m pet friendly but $175 fee.<br />I have to clean carpets more regularly and vacuum more. <br /><br />Winter Season <br />Amazing location to Alpine Meadows ski resort , 1 mile to parking lot. There is a mountaineer shuttle that comes right to door if add App . A perfect location for a winter and summer cabin.<br /><br />Two restaurants are located down the street from home. The River Ranch has indoor and outdoor dining in summer. All shopping is less than 10 minutes away in Tahoe City. Safeway or new moon natural foods.<br />Access to Lake Tahoe, restaurants, grocery stores and shops is only a 3 miles away. <br />Squaw resort next street over , about 10 minutes depending on traffic and road conditions. There are lot of restaurant's and fun activities at squaw . <br /><br />Summer <br />Also Lake Tahoe beach and park is close by and accessible by bike. 3 miles . Commons beach.<br /><br />Secret spot Layton park w picnic tables and can access water w little crowds. Commons beach 🏖️ with swimming and rentals for Sup s and Children s park.<br />Free Sunday concerts summer ! One car can fit in garage (boat storage on one side)Plenty of parking in front of house too. Covered Stairs down to front door with railing. There is open space in back yard area. <br /><br />Summer The house is so close to freshwater pond at bottom of alpine meadows rd. 5 lakes trail, Alpine Stables, Truckee river and 3 mile bike to Tahoe<br /><br />Winter Alpine ski resort 1 mile, squaw 10 minutes.<br />Alpine meadows rd is in Avalanche zone. See below<br />The house is on main rd, In large big storms which we have not experienced to date there is Avalanche control at the top of the mountain. They dynamite at top off hill and snow falls on main rd. The main road is snow plowed for access to Alpine Meadows. The Avalanche control will let us know prior if they are going to dynamite in the upper areas.<br /><br />Please confirm you get check in info from me and get in ok. Easy access w lock box .<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />In big storms have had power go out but rare. The main street get cleared after the big storms and we have a local neighbor that snow plows. In avalanche zone but have not had a problem since house was built in 80'S. one mile from bottom of hill to Truckee river and about a mile up to Alpine Meadows ski resort. Shuttles also available . Can be traffic after slopes are closing on main road. House is set below road. Cars go fast so be careful.<br />Have one inside garage spot and about 4 cars for street parking depending on snow levels.
