Two built-in window seats double as 6-foot daybeds - perfect for relaxing with a book or accommodating young children. Bamboo floors and a surrounding shared garden complete this serene space.<br /><br />The property is surrounded by mature shade trees and lush gardens, offering a private and peaceful setting - ideal for extended stays or anyone seeking a quiet upcountry retreat.<br /><br />The Location<br />Waimea offers cool upcountry temperatures and sits at the heart of the island, making it the perfect base for exploring. You're 5 minutes from Waimea town on the sunny side. And just 15 minutes from some of Hawaii's best beaches (Waialea/Beach 69, Hapuna, Maumai) and centrally located for day trips to Kona, Hilo, Waipio Valley, Hawi, and Mauna Kea observatories.<br /><br />The town itself is charming with good restaurants, weekly farmers markets, art galleries, music venues, and excellent coffee shops. This is a historic ranching community with a unique personality.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />You'll have access to your private back apartment and a shared back garden. Mature Shade trees and beautiful gardens.<br /><br /><b>During your stay</b><br />We live at the front of the property and love meeting guests at arrival to help you get settled and share our favorite local recommendations. Our goal is to help you experience the real Hawaii - from hidden beaches to the best poke in town.<br />After check-in, we give you complete privacy while remaining close enough to help if needed. We're always available for questions or suggestions, but otherwise keep to ourselves at the front of the property so you can fully relax in your private garden retreat.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />We're also Kona coffee farmers - we grow and roast our own beans in Kealakekua and provide them complimentary for your morning coffee.
