This house is 5 min from Kehena Beach, 20 min from Pahoa town, 50 minutes south from Hilo, 1hr to Volcano Nat'l Park and 2hrs to Kona.<br /><br />If you are looking to have a life-changing experience in one of the most wild places in Hawai’i this is for you.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Open floor plan with slightly elevated living room and sleeping area. Lots of windows that look out into a large private garden. Full kitchen with everything you need to make a meal. Large bathroom with shower and soaking tub. The soaking tub has a big window with a garden view. Absolute serenity! Full-sized washer and dryer for your use. Security camera on exterior front door.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The home is for your private and exclusive use. Off street parking and large garden. Please note that you might encounter landscaper, delivery person, or maintenance persons during your stay. Security cameras at exterior front door and one in back yard.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />You must rent a car to fully enjoy the house and area. The Big Island is BIG! Public transportation is limited. Paid car services are not reliable or available in the same way you might be accustomed to.<br /><br />We are in the jungle and the coqui frogs are loud at night. We love the sound but some don’t. We do supply war plugs for all of our guests.<br /><br />Lastly, the cottage is for sale and we might have to schedule a showing for potential buyers during guest stays. If this were to happen during your stay, we would give you as much notice as possible and have the showing last no more than an hour.
