Maui's longest white sand beach is right there, part of your private view - all you need for a memorable stay!<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />As you enjoy your morning coffee, a view of the ocean will beckon you outside for your daily adventures. Hang out on the spacious balcony, relax with a frozen beverage while recapping the day with your loved ones. Stroll over to the beach to view Maui's best sunsets. Whip up your meals in the fully-equipped kitchen or take advantage of the outdoor grills for a tasty meal with less cleanup. <br /><br />Guests have complete access to the condo complex: the pool area includes an outdoor pool, a sunken hot tub that holds 12 (rebuilt in Aug 2025), and gas grills - ringed by swaying palms and tropical plumeria trees. We provide beach towels, beach chairs & boogie boards. The pool area is furnished with reclining sun-lounger furniture for lie-flat sunbathing, along with tables & chairs and covered picnic table areas.<br /><br />This is a second-floor unit; its flight of outdoors stairs leads to only one other condo, but no one passes in front of our front door - we leave the door open with only the screen door closed while we are home, making it quite private yet getting the ocean breezes in. <br />Being on the 2nd floor is such an advantage, in that you have an elevated vista of both the ocean and the pool area! We love sitting out on the balcony at twilight, watching the ocean waves smooth out prior to the glow of the sunset's color on the water, coming from behind the neighboring island of Lanai - all visible from your chair.<br />Ceiling fans augment the tropical breezes - we have extra floor fans too, along with the 2 A/C units if you need additional cold air. FYI - in the living area, the bench next to the entrance door can be turned around 180 degrees and thus it becomes part of the seating area around the coffee table.<br />This is a no-smoking, no-vaping and no animals/no pets condo: we have your allergies & the health & safety of your lungs in mind by keeping this protocol.<br />Our condo is just 90 steps from Maui's longest beach (across the street and over the sand dunes) - perfect for long walks and sunset watching. It's an oasis for 4 people - that's the absolute maximum (you are sharing only 1 bathroom, remember!) Do read our departure protocol under Policies & Rules. <br />FYI - in the living area, the bench next to the entrance door can be turned around 180 degrees and thus it becomes part of the seating area around the coffee table.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Our condo complex has always been a state-approved (and registered) hotel condo, so your short-term vacation rental is 100% legitimate - no worries! <br /><br />Departure Protocol: before you choose our condo for your Maui home, be sure you can agree to this for check-out time. If this protocol doesn't suit you, you'll want to choose another rental property instead.)<br />REQUIRED: <br />(a) wash all dishes and pots & pans, and leave the stove & oven & kitchen area clean and wiped down – it’s OK to have the dishwasher running as you leave. <br />(b) wash (and dry!) one load of towels before you leave (laundry soap provided) - a beach vacation causes guests to use twice as many towels as you would otherwise. We make this worth your while by providing lots of detergent so you can also do your own personal laundry at our expense - a rarity in vacation rentals. (Most condos give you 2-3 little detergent pods.) Our dear housekeeper has requested this - she has so much more to sanitize in accordance with the new Maui County health rules. The final load can be left in a running dryer. <br />(c) take your trash out to the dumpster, close all windows & the balcony door, and turn off the a/c and the fans. Mahalo! <br /><br />Other Details: Open ALL the cupboards and drawers and investigate - everything there is for you to use during your stay! ! We want you to feel at home, using the condo as a rejuvenating base in between your adventures & activities. From the living/dining area and from the balcony, you can see exactly what the weather is like, to help in deciding whether you should pop over to the sandy beach, or if you should float in the pool, or if the gas grills are free for you to start grilling your dinner – you can see all your options from the serenity and privacy of your vacation condo.<br />We recommend using reef-safe sunscreen to keep toxic chemicals from killing our coral reefs via "coral bleaching." Spray-on sunscreens are FORBIDDEN: you may not use them inside the condo, nor on the balcony nor anywhere nearby (the spray drifts in the air onto window glass and onto fabrics, and it is impossible to remove it.) Let's keep our coral reefs healthy.<br /> <br />Hawaiian quilts now cover the couch cushions, an extra way to keep you protected (since the quilts can be washed for each guest stay, in this new era of sanitizing.) Fleece throws for the couch are stacked on the guest bedroom's closet shelves, snuggle-worthy. Stacked on the shelves in the main bedroom: Linens & pillows, fleece blankets and towels/bath mats. We also provide beach towels for using at the beach or downstairs at the communal pool. <br /> <br />The washer and dryer are brand new! An iron and ironing board are tucked up on the top shelf. Under the 2 bath-area sinks are shampoo, first aid items, sun cream, blow dryers plus the extra toilet paper rolls - the cleaning supplies are under the kitchen sink. <br /> <br />The TV has cable - there's a page in the coffee table notebook about the quirks of the remote. <br />The desk has a pull-out surface perfect for setting up your laptop or tablet on our WiFi network.<br /><br /><b>Registration Details</b><br />390010440086, TA-213-488-5376-01
