I love to listen to the birds as they gather in the banyan tree on Ali'i Drive. <br /><br />The condo is spacious compared to most one bedroom condos in Kona, especially with the oversized lanai! The remodeled bathroom has a new walk in shower. The kitchen is new as well, with new cabinets and appliances. The sofa bed in the living room is perfect for 2 youngsters. The bedroom has a King Bed and plenty of closet space. For the little ones there is a pack-n-play and a highchair. There is a Washer & Dryer in the condo, detergent pods are provided. The A/C unit is new. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make your meals at home. Snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels are all provided. Bathroom supplies provided for your convenience include shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toilet tissue, bath towels & hair dryer. <br /><br />The condo building has plenty to offer as well. I love using the BBQ grills on the sun deck of levels 3 and 4. It is a great place to relax with a glass of wine while the sun is setting. There are views of the famous Mokuaikaua Church and the Hulihe'e Palace while you are grilling your dinner. The birds in the banyan tree on Ali'i Drive remind you that you are in a tropical place. And the sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean are stunning. The pool is refreshing, especially in the afternoon at the hottest time of the day. The covered parking under the building is safe and secure, with an easy elevator ride up to the 2nd floor. <br /><br />LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! My condo is so close to all that Kona has to offer! There is a perfect sandy beach only 5 minutes away, at the Marriott King Kamehameha Hotel (all beaches are public in Hawaii). The water is calm and perfect for floating with a drink or teaching your kids to snorkel. At the Kailua Pier there is excellent snorkeling with dozens of species of tropical fish, sea turtles, rays frequently spotted. I walk there to swim almost every day! At sunset I like to walk to the seawall at the big grassy area at the Kona Inn Restaurant, it is beautiful. <br /><br />Also within 5 minutes of walking:<br />-Kona Farmer's Market - this market is awesome, with all of the tropical fruit that grows on the island, local organic produce, arts and crafts, coffee, madadamia nuts<br />-2 grocery stores<br />-3 ABC stores - these stores have souvenirs, groceries, alcohol and treats<br />-dozens of restaurants<br />-Kona Inn Shopping Village<br />-dozens of bars<br /><br />For history buffs, there is so much to see within a 5 minute walk. The lobby in the King Kamehameha hotel is like a mini museum with paintings and artifacts of the old Kings and Queens. The Hulihe'e Palace is a great place to tour to see where the royal family vacationed.
