This 2BR Ohana is a fully self contained guest suite attached to the main home, with its own private entrance and no shared interior spaces. <br />Located just 10 minutes from Kona and the airport, the space includes a kitchenette, separate living room, two bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, and two private lanais with ocean views.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />The Ohana offers open dining and kitchenette space with a separate entrance off the private lanai. Two separate bedrooms and large private bathroom is included to create a full self-sufficient private stay experience. The bathroom is stocked with all the essentials. The two bedrooms offer modern furnishing, elegant bedding, blackout curtains, smart TVs and plenty of storage. In the living room, there is a smart TV with modern and comfortable furnishing for your entertainment. The only AC units are located in the dining/kitchenette room and living room since the Ohana is generally cool when windows are open for cross breeze. You're welcomed to the kitchen with a giant island for all your preparation needs and additional seating. A generous sized refrigerator can stock groceries for the week. The kitchen has a full size sink and stocked with all the cookware and dining essentials. A microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and a portable two-burner electrical cooktop are provided. You will have all the comforts of home in the Ohana.<br /><br />This property features an exceptional outdoor space with private outdoor dining for up to 6 and a private BBQ grill. Further down the property, you will be swept away by the ocean views with large open grass areas for picnics and other outdoor activities, leading to an outdoor living room under the gazebo with a natural wood firepit adjacent.<br /><br />The higher but cooler elevation allows our guests to enjoy the outdoor space and be a part of the country environment. <br /><br />GE-041-053-5424-01<br />TA--041-053-5424-01<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />We use a smart keyless lock for self check-in. The key code will be given with check-in instructions up to 2 days before check-in. The code will automatically be scheduled to function at 4:00PM HST on day of check-in, unless a prearranged early check-in was approved.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Disclosure: There are multiple OUTDOOR/EXTERIOR cameras around the property. These cameras only record when motion is detected. There are two cameras outside the Ohana, pointing at the entry lanai and the parking area. None of these security cameras record audio for your privacy. No cameras are pointed at any windows into the interior of the Ohana. Our family and guests' privacy and safety is our priority.<br /><br />Natural noise: The Ohana is within a rainforest/tropical climate zone in the countryside. There are a lot of wildlife around so you will hear the sounds of nature, especially the Coqui frogs throughout the evening. If you are noise sensitive, earplugs are provided for your convenience.<br /><br />There is also one common door between the main house and the Ohana. This will be locked at all times with a deadbolt on the owner's side. Opening and forcing the locked door open will sound an alarm. We want to remind visitors that Hawaii has the highest electric cost per watt in the nation and please turn off lights and AC when not needed or present.<br /><br />We are strictly a smoke-free household and community. There are many small children living in neighboring properties and out of respect of our neighbors, there is absolutely no smoking any where on the property during the stay. Our neighbors will complain and the guests after will be left with an unpleasant smell in and around the Ohana. We do please ask that guests that are smokers, do disclose prior to reservation. Otherwise, if smoking is present on the property, we will have no choice but to ask for forfeiture of stay and immediate departure with no refund.<br /><br />Notes on wildlife and pest: We do live in Hawaii and more specifically in a rainforest climate. geckos and pest are apparent and we spend a lot of time to keep them outside but you may see some geckos indoor at rare times.
