We live in Oceanview. We have a lot of things to see and do in our area. When you book I will send a list of beaches and places to see. If you are wanting to see everything on the south side of the island while you visit …volcano, black sand beach, green sand beach, nice hiking trails down the street, it is a perfect in between for your stay on the big island. We do have beach gear for you to borrow And a lot of information about the time a day where are you should go and see the area. <br /><br />Our internet on our property is Hawaii Telecom- 500 Mbps. All Of our recent guests have been working from home via telecom conferences and have had no problems. <br /><br />Please remove shoes before entering unit, fungus grease, dirt can be spread into the ohana and is considered on the islands to disrespectful to home owners.<br /><br />I clean my rentals my self and use Clorox with bleach on every surface. I wipe off using Clorox, doorknobs, corners of walls, sink and toilet handles, toilet, fan chains, flooring. I spend three hours each time a guest checks out to make sure my space is clean and safe. Even before the corona epidemic I have always made sure my Ohana was nice and clean . I wash all linens, bed spreads and towels in hot water for a good night sleep and fresh shower. Please keep yourselves clean.<br /><br />I have a bottle of Clorox cleaner in bathroom and in the kitchen under the sinks for guest to use also. <br />The living room and bedroom has carpet. I go over it with shampoo machine adding a little Clorox to the solution. <br /><br />We offer self check in. I leave the doors unlocked for guests. The house rules and keys are on the kitchen table. Please go over HOUSE MANUAL. <br />Please know you are safe staying at our Ohana!<br /><br />***To insure you get settled in and have a great stay with us, we have provided one roll of toilet paper per person, one roll of paper towels, body soap, shampoo, hand soap, dish soap, cleaning spray for kitchen and bathroom, garbage bags in our Ohana. Please use what you need and leave the rest. This may not be enough for your entire stay and you may have to purchase additional supplies. <br /><br />We do have boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, beach towels, and coolers for you to borrow. <br /><br />Mahalo<br /><br />***During your stay I may ask 24 hours in advance to enter unit and inspect if I feel garbage is not being taken out or bad smell is coming from unit.***<br /><br />***The bedroom wall dividing the living room with pull out sofa sleeper is 2 feet down from the ceiling (open concept. ) It provides air flow to the bedroom and through the unit to prevent mold from high humidity in hawaii. Please keep the fan on above the wall unless you get cold at night and turn it back on during the day. Unplug it inside the closet.***<br /><br />Whole suite connected to main house with private entrance and car port. Very high ceilings and open concept to bedroom for air flow. You are sharing our home so be respectful on quite time at 10 pm. If arrived after 10pm respect our sleep time. Mahalo. Full indoor bathroom with small shower, <br />kitchen has convection oven, two new wave burners, microwave, if you don’t have it in your space I am sure we can accommodate just ask us. <br />Our homes are on catchment, a pump for water pressure kicks in when using water to provide pressure. If you are having trouble with water pressure give it a second for the pump to kick in, or let me know if it seems you are struggling. One bedroom with queen size bed. Living room has a pull out sleeper for additional guests. Feel free to explore our six 1/2 acres and enjoy our gardens, star gazing and bird watching. I am always upgrading our property and doing projects and can be located somewhere on the property if you need assistance. I wait until you are awake or by 9:00 am and stop working on or before 10:00 pm. We also have a two bedroom Ohana separate from the main house. It’s is listed as Moana View Ohana if you need extra space and a larger shower. We are located between mile marker 79 and 80 at 1600 elevation which makes a very nice temperature for your stay, not too hot and not too cold.<br />Mahalo for taking time to view our listing.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />A walk around the property to enjoy. Search for geckos, Jackson chameleons, bird watching, enjoy the gardens. . We have an area with swing and fire pit, corn hole, and horse shoe. If you would like to have a fire to cook s’mores or hot dogs and weather permits ask us first and we can help with that<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />We do have boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, beach towels, and coolers for you to borrow. <br />Our three dogs Knucklehead a jack Russell mix, and Evo a whippet catahoula , Koa catahoula have access to back yard fenced in area. They are not barkers and are very sweet and friendly. They like to play in the back yard. You may pet them but please do not feed them. They are on special diet.
