This centrally located Condo in the heart of Kailua-Kona offers easy access to everything and free one-vehicle parking. There is No Cleaning Fee.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Kona Plaza 318 is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit with a King-Size and Queen-size bed, a front-loader washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, an elevator, and underground parking. It is within walking distance to restaurants, beaches, shops, entertainment, and Kailua Pier, the starting point for the Ironman, town parades, and the Kokua Kailua Stroll. It is very spacious and comfortable for 2 to 4 people. An oversized walk-in shower and a shower head make it feel like you are taking a bath in the rain, a front loader washing machine and dryer, there is a lot of storage/closet, a renovated kitchen with electric stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster/oven, electric kettle, coffee maker, etc. The room has a king-size bed, an office table and chair, and a Smart TV with movie-on-demand. The living room has a Queen-sized bed, two recliner chairs, bookshelves with books, Wi-Fi, and another Smart TV. On the Lanai, you can see the big L-shaped sofa, a four-seater dining table, and a counter-height rectangular table with two bar stools.<br />Suppose you are trying to get away for two days or even more to relax and recharge. However, we recommend renting a car if you plan to adventure to the other side of the island and see the Kilauea Volcano.<br /><br />P.S. Based on guest reviews, the bedroom tends to be warmer than the living room. It must be especially so during summer, but opening the sliding glass window along with using the ceiling fan and stand fan helps reduce the heat, making it more comfortable. The living room's air conditioning still helps cool the space, though it is not as cold as the Split AC.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The complex offers two terrace areas for relaxation or reading, as well as barbecues. One is on the 3rd floor near the far right end of unit 318, and another on the 4th floor with views of Alii Drive. There's also a gated swimming pool on the first floor, accessible with the Primus Key, which also operates the elevator to the basement. However, if any of these common areas are unavailable, we are not responsible, since they are not under our management. Smoking is not allowed in any of these areas, including the room (our place).<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />When you arrive at the premises, park on the ground floor and check in to unit 318. Then grab the parking permit and park your car in the basement. We will send you the basement code the day before your arrival date.<br /><br /> The parking permit for one vehicle is on the front door with the keys. Please keep both of them; we must ask $100 for a replacement if you lose them. If you have two or more vehicles, you must pay $7.00 per day or $35.00/week/vehicle to park on the premises. If you do, please make arrangements with us in advance. Always make the blue parking permit visible on the dashboard or rearview mirror while parking on the premises. The association and site manager will fine the car $150 when they see it parked without a permit.
