Units below us do not have ocean views, and those further back rise up to sixteen stories, higher density that reduces tranquility. While a nearby tower blocks the direct straight-ahead view, from our expansive lanai you can enjoy a 180° panorama of ocean, koi pond, and pools with ocean views to the left and right. Underground parking is also provided.<br /><br />A DAY IN PARADISE<br />-------------------------------------------------------<br />Begin your day with a refreshing lap swim in the calm lagoon right in front of our property.<br /><br />Take a few moments to unwind on the wide, sandy beach or grassy area surrounding the lagoon. Relax under a palm tree. Feel the soft sand between your toes.<br /><br />If the kids are up early, enjoy a quick game of beach football or frisbee before breakfast at the villa or a short drive to Eggs-n-Things. Indulge in a classic Hawaiian breakfast: fresh papaya and pineapple, breakfast pastries, Portuguese sausage, rice and eggs, followed by a latte and POG juice. Island Country Markets, Starbucks, and Eggs-n-Things are conveniently located at the Ko Olina Station Shopping Center within the Ko Olina resort.<br /><br />Next, head to the fitness center for a workout on the treadmill or with weights, or take a scenic jog along the beachfront path. Reward yourself with a relaxing session in the sauna and steam room (Dad's favorite). Treat yourself to a luxurious 90-minute hot stone massage at the Four Seasons or Disney Aulani (Mom's favorite).<br /><br />The rest of the family can enjoy the lagoon pool for some fun in the sun. Don't forget to stop by the Beach Bar for refreshing Brain Freeze drinks – cherry with passion fruit (Daughter's favorite) or mango (Son's favorite).<br /><br />For lunch, take a leisurely stroll along the oceanfront path to Lagoon Three and dine at Longboard's. Their fish tacos and pulled Kalua pork sandwiches are local favorites. Alternatively, grab sandwiches from Island Country Market or enjoy a meal at Monkeypod Kitchen at the Ko Olina Station shopping center.<br /><br />After lunch, explore the lagoon's underwater world with some snorkeling, observing the colorful fish and our resident three-legged sea turtle, Tripod. Please be aware of your surroundings and snorkel safely. Or, relax on the beach with rented chaise loungers, umbrellas, or a cabana from Royal Hawaiian Beach Services. We also provide beach chairs in our villa for your convenience.<br /><br />In the evening, head to Costco (just a short drive away) for some USDA Prime ribeye steaks, ahi tuna steaks, and shrimp. Marinate them in Huli Huli sauce and grill them by the pool at sunset, while enjoying drinks from the beach bar as the kids swim.<br /><br />A perfect end to a perfect day in paradise.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Check our guidebooks for our families favorite spots that we think you'll enjoy.<br /><br />From the Snorkel Safety study:<br />1. Don’t snorkel for several days following transpacific flights. This advice is as applicable to Hawaii residents as it is to Hawaii visitors.<br />2. The safest snorkels are those that don’t have modifications to the tip to prevent water from entering the device.<br />3. Choose snorkeling locations where you can touch the ocean bottom for additional safety.<br />4. Snorkeling requires proficiency in swimming. If you aren’t able to swim, you should not be snorkeling.<br />5. We do not provide snorkeling gear.
