This spacious, light-filled home offers mountain and waterfall views, a pool and pond, and is walking distance to cafes and incredible spots such as Kaweonui beach, Queen's Bath, and Turtle Cave. Separate sleeping areas consist of the primary bedroom with a king bed and en suite bath; two bedrooms next to a full bath—one with a queen bed one with a bunk bed (twin over full); a queen-size sofa couch located near a half bath; and a suite off the large lanai with a queen bed and private half bath.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Welcome to House of Joy—a well-loved home we rent out during school breaks, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Please note: during the school year, an adorable hypoallergenic labradoodle lives here with her humans.<br /><br />Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by swaying palm trees and lush tropical foliage set alongside a serene pond with lilies, lotuses (seasonal) and koi. The ample driveway can fit several cars and is completed by a basketball hoop for some outdoor fun. The back yard is also a perfect place to entertain with a large lanai, pool and an outdoor seating area with a (solely decorative) fire pit.<br />Inside, the spacious home boasts vaulted ceilings and abundant natural light from numerous windows overlooking views of majestic mountains (often with waterfalls). An assortment of water sports equipment (for example: boogie boards, beach chairs, and snorkel masks) are also provided.*<br /><br />In addition, this home is furnished with exercise equipment including an elliptical machine, a walking treadmill, a rowing machine, weights and yoga mats, a yoga hammock, and exercise ball.* For playful visitors, the home also supplies a number of games and a foosball table.* And for the comfort and convenience of home, there is a washer and dryer, a desk in each sleeping area, a dishwasher, wifi, and a smart TV with access to platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ with Hulu.<br />The home consists of three bedrooms upstairs as well as a 2nd living area downstairs with a queen size sofa bed that has a foam topper for extra comfort when used as a bed, and a suite with a queen bed and half bath off the lanai. There are two full bathrooms upstairs and a two half baths downstairs as well as an outdoor shower (with hot and cold water).<br /><br />*We love that our home comes stocked with games, water toys, and exercise equipment and we do our best to maintain these items. However, we can't always guarantee their condition and we appreciate your understanding!<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />We want every guest to have a safe and enjoyable stay! As part of our check-in process, guests will be asked to sign a liability release waiver covering use of the private pool and golf cart. The waiver will be sent to you upon booking confirmation and we appreciate if you could return before it before your arrival date. As part of the waiver, we ask guests traveling with infants or children under the age of 6 to acknowledge the inherent risks of pool and pond access for young children and to accept responsibility for their supervision. Mahalo for your understanding!<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />We love offering our golf cart as a fun way for guests to explore the neighborhood. That said, getting a golf cart serviced on Kauai can take time as our nearest shop is in Lihue and wait times can stretch to several weeks. Guests much charge the electric car and occasionally add water to the batteries.
