This is a comfortable 2 BD/2BA with rustic modern & eclectic decor, situated on a beautiful private acre of lush greenery. The living area is an open concept kitchen & living room with grand floor-to-ceiling windows showing off views of famous Mauna Kea. The generously sized master bedroom has a brand-new Avocado cal-king bed and a second bedroom offers a cozy queen. With a fully equipped kitchen & amenities, this is a perfect home base from which to begin or continue your Big Island experience!<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />* We do charge an additional $50 per person, per night for up to a total of 4 people (12 years and older). Please inquire with Jessica about adding people to your booking :)<br /><br />Waimea offers perfect sleeping weather - after a cozy night’s sleep in your cal-king bed, look forward to rising with a cup of fresh coffee or tea and enjoy the balcony where you can take in the park-like setting and gaze at exquisite views of Mauna Kea Mountain. <br /><br />While it is common to receive misty rain on the daily, there is no shortage of Hawaiian golden mountain moments. And after a full day of exploring the warm & sunny coast or tropical interior, you'll look forward to returning home on Iokua Place for some true R&R. For example, the master ensuite offers a full-sized, stand alone bathtub to soak those tired muscles.<br /><br />A newly remodeled and fully-equipped kitchen with marble & quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances will create cooking some of your farmer's markets finds a vacation in itself.<br /> <br />To enhance your experience, we’ve included a complimentary bottle of red wine, Hawaiian Host chocolates and a selection of coffee or tea, among other kitchen essentials.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />You will have access to our brand new second story covered deck where the BBQ is located. Feel free to enjoy this space. However, the unit that shares this deck is not accessible for guests. <br /><br />You will have access to beach equipment including two beach chairs, a beach umbrella, cooler and two beach towels. Also, feel free to roam around and enjoy our property at your leisure.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />This is our primary residence. We have both closets in each room locked with personal items. Please respect these places and be aware of anything that is labeled "private" as well as things that are clearly out of reach. <br /><br />* This 2BD/2BA is the upper level of a two story home. The bottom back unit is also a vacation rental. Please follow house rules with noise and laundry time usage and know that everyone must abide by house rules and the only shared area is the yard.<br /><br />* If this is your first time visiting Hawaii and you are expecting a traditional, warm coastal Hawaiian vacation, this option might not suite you. We are at a cooler elevation of 3,000 feet and afternoon/evening rain may occur but does provide perfect sleeping weather. Evenings/mornings in the winter months can be cool, so we recommend light sweaters/socks for those crisp Waimea mornings and evenings.
