You will love being able to walk to Queen's Bath, Hideaways Beach & snorkel spot, the Makai Golf Course & Tennis Club & Pu'u Poa Beach on Hanalei Bay. Walk to 1 Hanalei Hotel where you can dine & see live music with a spectacular view. Featuring expansive outdoor living space and a lush yard on an oversized lot, this is the perfect place to unwind after spending the day exploring this extraordinary island. Walking distance to Sealodge beach, Hideaways Beach and snorkel spot, Queen's Bath and Turtle Cove!<br /><br />Once inside, this home offers plenty of space for a large family or traveling couples. The kitchen has beautiful quartz counters, high-end appliances, and a charming breakfast bar that opens to the main living and dining area.<br />Our expansive open kitchen is fully stocked and is fabulous for cooking group meals.  A dining area seats 8 people and counter space seating is available for for 4. The spacious living area includes a wall-mounted 55 inch flat screen TV. <br /><br />The primary bedroom is equipped with air conditioning, a king sized bed, walk-in closet and a large primary en suite bath.  The queen bedroom enjoys valley breezes and includes a sliding glass door that opens onto back lanai.<br />The second king bedroom and the queen share a Jack and Jill bathroom. A fourth bedroom down the hall has twin beds and is great for kids. There is a half bath next to the twin bedroom.<br /><br />The screened in lanai game room is a great place for playing ping pong and board games, puzzles or just enjoying the view. The exterior boasts a lanai with an outdoor sofa and chairs to enjoy  breezes winding their way up the valley.  The enormous professionally landscaped yard includes a private stream, fruit trees and plenty of room for kids to run. <br />  <br />Wireless internet throughout the house is fast and reliable.<br /><br />Available for your use are a kayak, boogie boards, snorkel gear, bikes, three surf boards, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and coolers. We also stock plenty of beach toys for the keiki in your group. You can head straight to the beach upon your arrival. Enjoy rinsing off in the outdoor shower after a fun day of exploring. . <br /><br />Hale Laniakea is family friendly.  We provide a pack and play and highchair for your keiki.<br /><br />Things to note:<br />~There is AC in the primary and queen bedroom. We have trade winds, ocean breezes, ceiling fans and plenty of oscillating fans. Our home enjoys afternoon shade so rooms stay cool. We are the wettest island in the Hawaiian chain~ we get a lot of rain but that's what makes those beautiful waterfalls.<br /><br />Kaua'i is tropical. Our backyard has many trees, tropical flowers and a stream. Gecko lizards and all kinds of bugs thrive here. We use professional pest control but you will likely see some bugs outside and maybe inside (rare). There are different seasons for different creatures so please keep this in mind. <br /><br />~ Please be Mindful of Check-In & Check-Out Times. Early Arrival & Late Departure not often possible, so if you know you have a late flight home you might want to consider booking one more night so you have access to our home for the entire day. We certainly will accommodate requests when possible.<br /><br />~ Please be respectful of the quiet hours from 10pm-8am. Voices carry when sitting on the lanai so be conscientious of your noise level.<br /><br />~Reef saving tip: Chemical sunscreen is killing our ocean wildlife so please consider using sunscreen that doesn't contain the reef-damaging chemicals oxybenzone and octinoxate. Reef safe sunscreens we like include Vertra, Sun Bum and Avasol. <br /> <br />~Absolutely no smoking or vaping anywhere on property.<br />~Mahalo for removing your shoes.<br /> - Garbage day is WEDNESDAY - Cans need to be pulled to curb on Tuesday afternoon/evening.<br />-The drone shot of our home shows an empty lot to the left of our home. A home has been built on that lot. <br /><br />~Queens Bath is within walking distance. Queens Bath is a beautiful spot in the summer but the winter season can be very dangerous. The Kaua'i Lifeguard Association determines when conditions are unsafe and the access gate will be locked based on their assessment. Please do not attempt to visit QB when the gate is locked.
