The covered deck and lounge area is perfect for grilling, dining, or simply unwinding while surrounded by lush greenery—keep an eye out for local wildlife like wild pigs, pheasants, and hawks passing through.<br /><br />Inside, the open living room welcomes you with a cozy L-shaped sofa, TV, and a warm electric fireplace—ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. Just beyond, the fully equipped kitchen features full-size appliances (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher) and is stocked with coffee (drip and Keurig pods), tea, and hot cocoa. To make mornings easy, a complimentary continental breakfast starter is provided, including pancake mix with syrup, oatmeal, yogurt, and fresh fruit for you to enjoy at your convenience.<br /><br />The home operates on a common local system of rainwater collection, which is double-filtered and UV-sterilized for safety. For added peace of mind, a 5-gallon dispenser of drinking water is also provided.<br /><br />Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining area seats four and doubles as a kid-friendly space with a toddler busy board and toy bin—allowing little ones to play while parents relax nearby.<br /><br />The bathroom includes a walk-in shower and an indoor washer and dryer for your convenience. Both bedrooms are thoughtfully designed and identical, each featuring a king-sized bed, ceiling fan, heated blanket, blackout shades, futon mattress, and interactive educational wall games that continue the home’s fun, learning-focused theme.<br /><br />Traveling with little ones? We’ve got you covered—high chair, pack ’n play, and baby bathtub are available upon request, making this a comfortable and stress-free stay for families of all sizes.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Guests will have access to the entire home except for a locked storage closet. There is enough room to accommodate 2 parked cars.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />This home does not have air conditioning. The weather in Mt View ranges between 65 - 80 degrees F. If needed there are 3 ceiling fans throughout the home. Feel free to open windows during your stay to let the cool mountain breeze in. There are cameras on the exterior of the home. This home is located in an undeveloped subdivision within the Hawaii Rainforest. The road to get to the property is gravel but does not require 4X4. Please keep in mind that there are neighbors to the right and left of the property.<br /><br />Upon Booking with us, we require our guests to digitally sign a Vacation Rental Agreement.<br /><br />Vacation Rental Terms & Conditions<br />1. Booking & Payment<br /><br />A reservation is confirmed only after all required payments and a signed rental agreement have been received.<br /><br />The individual making the reservation (“Guest”) must be at least 21 years of age and accepts responsibility for all members of their party.<br /><br />A deposit or full payment (as specified at the time of booking) is required to secure the reservation.<br /><br />2. Cancellation Policy<br /><br />Cancellations made prior to the stated cancellation deadline will be refunded in accordance with the policy provided at booking.<br /><br />No refunds will be issued for late arrivals, early departures, or unused nights.<br /><br />Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against unforeseen circumstances.<br /><br />3. Accessing locked rooms, storage areas, or additional spaces without authorization will result in additional charges, including the applicable nightly rate for those areas plus cleaning fees.<br /><br />5. Damage<br /><br />Guests are financially responsible for any loss or damage to the property or its contents during their stay, including damage resulting from unauthorized access to restricted areas.<br /><br />6. Cleaning<br /><br />A standard cleaning fee is included in your reservation.<br /><br />Additional cleaning fees may apply for:<br /><br />Stained or damaged linens<br />Excessive mess, trash, or spills<br />Strong or lingering odors<br /><br />Unauthorized use of locked or unreserved areas will also result in additional cleaning charges.<br /><br />7. Maintenance & Access<br /><br />The host or authorized personnel may enter the property for necessary maintenance, repairs, or inspections with reasonable notice.<br /><br />In the event of an emergency, access may occur without prior notice.<br /><br />8. Liability<br /><br />The host is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur during the stay.<br /><br />The host is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings.<br /><br />Guests assume all risks associated with use of the property and its amenities.<br /><br />9. Use of Property<br /><br />The property is intended for short-term vacation use only.<br /><br />Commercial use, subletting, or transferring the reservation to another party is prohibited without prior written consent.<br /><br />10. Noise & Neighborhood<br /><br />Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM.<br /><br />Guests must respect the surrounding community. Complaints from neighbors or violations of local ordinances may result in termination of the stay without refund.<br /><br />11. Utilities & Internet<br /><br />Utilities and Wi-Fi are provided as a courtesy.<br /><br />Interruptions to services (including electricity, water, or internet) are outside the host’s control and do not warrant refunds.<br /><br />12. Governing Law<br /><br />This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii.<br /><br />Any disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where the property is located.<br /><br />13. Acceptance<br /><br />By confirming the reservation or occupying the property, the Guest acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
