No smoking is allowed. <br /><br />Use of the pool, hot tub and dry sauna are private when reserved via our shared calendar. <br />Mahalo!<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Pualani Hale is approximately 2000 square feet and overlooks views of Haleakala Ranch and west Maui.<br /><br />The rooms are on the small side but the space is large and the views are breathtaking.<br /><br />This 3/2 is attached but completely private from the owners wing. <br /><br />This area of Hawaii is special and unique. It is a very different experience, one of the mountain.<br />We are on 2.5 acres and nestled upon the slopes of Haleakala (meaning house of the sun in Hawaiian).<br />The summit of Haleakala is at 10,023 ft and is a must see while on Maui. We are at approximately<br />3000 ft and surrounded by cattle ranches and forrest.<br /><br />Hiking and mountain biking trails are <br />near by. Wild pheasant, deer, pigs and Pueo (hawaiian owl) are often seen.<br />This is a very special place on Maui and only really described by being here in person.<br /><br />We are approximately a 10 minute drive to shops and restaurants in historic Makawao town, 25 minutes from Paia town, Baldwin Beach Park and 30 minutes from the airport.<br />Mahalo!<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Our guests are welcome to use the swimming pool, hot tub and dry sauna at will according to our house rules. <br /><br />Guests may also wander the sprawling property planted with many aromatic plants such as Rose Geranium,<br />Lemon Verbena, Lemon Grass,<br />Rosemary and others.<br />There are also Avocados, Lemons and limes for our guests to enjoy when in season.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Pualani Hale also shares the property with our one bedroom B&B Jungalow cottage. You can see that listing here: <br /><br />https://www.airbnb.com/h/upcountry-maui-views<br /> <br />In order to respect each others privacy while using the facilities, we have adopted the use of a shared calendar app. When reserving use of the pool, hot tub and sauna, it is required we all use it, including ourselves.<br />You can reserve your private time as desired or leave a note “all welcome “ if you don’t mind company.<br /><br />We do attract a lot of honeymooners and couples celebrating anniversaries, so it is our intent to offer each of our guests the same opportunity to experience the peace, tranquility and romance that our property offers. <br /><br />As you will learn, sound travels incredibly far up here so please keep your voice low while outside.
