Both have attached full bathrooms adjoining and the entire unit was remodeled in the summer of 2009 with new carpet and furniture installed in January 2015. This is a very lovely property, with beautiful ocean views from the lanai and the interior of the unit. Kitchen is fully up to date and offers plenty of room and amenities.<br /><br />Private tennis courts and a large pool that is never crowded are just two of the great things about the Poipu Sands complex. The Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa is located due east of the property and is absolutely gorgeous. Many nice restaurants and things to do, morning coffee, evening hula shows and music! Happy hour on the lanai and the world class Poipu Bay Golf course is a 5 minute walk away. Shipwreck Beach is located just out the front door and just a short stroll to the sandy beach. We strongly encourage you to read the plan prior to taking occupancy.<br /><br />Poipu Sands at Poipu Kai Roof Replacement 2024-2025 Information <br /><br />Our Poipu Sands unit (#427) will be affected by construction from September 9th to December 9th, 2024, and January 27th to March 3rd, 2025, due to the roof replacement project for buildings 3, 4, and 5. <br /><br />Anticipated Poipu Sands building and unit impact by date (subject to change):<br /><br />August 19 thru September 2, 2024 – Building Six<br />September 9 thru October 21, 2024 – Building Three<br />October 28 thru December 9, 2024 – Building Four (Units 427 Location)<br />December 16 thru January 20, 2025 – Building Two<br />January 27 thru March 3, 2025 – Building Five<br />March 10 thru April 21, 2025 – Building One<br /><br />What to Expect During Your Stay at Poipu Sands in 2024-25:<br /><br />Roof replacement construction activities Monday through Saturday, but not on Sundays, during evening hours, or before 7am. Official working hours are from 7:30am – 6:00 pm. You should expect to hear noise and see workers installing new roofs per the schedule above. There will also be construction equipment and supplies on site. Construction will be limited to the buildings as noted above to minimize the disturbance to the rest of the property as much as possible.<br /><br />SAFETY ZONES:<br /><br />Guests are advised to be alert when encountering yellow caution tape, barricades and/or orange cones as they will designate work areas on or around buildings. PARKING: Some parking areas will be offline during the entire project, others near buildings as construction necessitates. At this time, we have not been made aware of parking restrictions for building #4. ENTRANCES: Unit entrances and lanais may be temporarily closed for safety.
