Come and stay for a taste of relaxing Rural Island life. Enjoy the east side of the Island of Hawaii in our charming and comfortable 1 bed/1 bath home that offers an excellent home base to relax or return to each day from exploration.<br /><br />This beautifully appointed 1 bedroom/ 1 bath with fold-out couch is in the top floor of a two-story home. It is the perfect locale for sightseeing the Hilo and Volcano side of The Big Island. Guests stay on the 2nd floor which is 480 square feet of living space.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Airbnb guest quarters are on the second floor with stair access on the north side of the house. Laundry room is on first floor, the white door next to garage. <br />You may park on the cinder driveway.<br /><br />NOTE: There is No ADA access to this property.<br /><br />The stairs lead to a lanai for relaxing, sitting, reading, or eating. You will enter by the French doors into the living room and kitchen. Kitchen is a full kitchen with Refrigerator, Sink, oven, stove, and microwave. Down the short hall is the bedroom on your left, with a queen bed and a full bathroom on the right. Bathroom has a tub and a shower. <br />You will have the whole one acre to yourselves. The bottom studio is our office and only used between guest stays.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The Airbnb Guest house is on the Second floor. Stairs to the unit are on the North side of the house. The complete second floor is your accommodations. The laundry room is the door next to the garage and is for guest use.<br />The owner's private office and garage are directly below you but will not be used by owner when guests are present. Guests will have the full one acre to themselves to enjoy.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Guests have total access to laundry facility on the first floor, the white door next to the garage. Laundry soap is provided. You may park on the cinder driveway.<br /><br />Carport has an outdoor table and chairs which you are free to use.<br /><br />Please lock driveway gate after you are in for the night or when you leave for the day. <br /><br />You do not need to shut and lock all the windows when you are just gone for the day except the window over the bed headboard. Please close that window when you leave for the day because if it rains, it will come in thru that window since the trade winds blow that direction most of the time.<br /><br /><br /><br />If you are arriving very late, there are no grocery stores open real late at night. We can buy a few groceries for you and put in refrigerator for late night arrivals. We do charge for the groceries and a fee of $10.00 to go shopping for you. We will limit the shopping list to 5 items to get you thru till the next morning. They need to be basic items like bread, milk, cereal, cheese, butter, eggs, etc. Just enough to get you through the night and morning when you can get to a store. If it is getting late and you are in Hilo, stop at one of the stores below that are open late because you can see that the stores closer to the Airbnb close by 9pm.<br /><br />If you plan to do a lot of cooking, there is an exhaust fan above stove and if need be, you can open doors and windows to air out. <br /><br />*Walmart in Hilo is open til 11pm<br />* Target in Hilo is open til 11pm<br />*Safeway in Hilo is open til midnight<br />*Foodland in Keaau is open til 9pm<br />*Malama Market in Pahoa is open til 9pm<br /><br />Just message us and we will request payment thru Airbnb for this service.
