This home has been known as "Mele Kohola" which means "Song of the Whale" in Hawaiian and they will entertain you day and night, especially in whale season! The waters in front of Mele Kohola are very deep, and the coastline is shaped in a gentle cove tempting the whales and dolphins to play very close to shore. Enjoy the unobstructed bi-coastal views from almost every room in the house including the two front lanais. Welcome to paradise!<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />We hope you enjoy this stunning waterfront home with a full kitchen and three ocean facing lanais! Escape the busy city life and relax to the whisper of waves breaking on the shoreline and feel the caress of gentle trade wind breezes. <br /><br />Upstairs you have a King bedroom with attached bathroom and ocean view lanai. There is also a queen size bed room, a two twin bed room and hallway guest bathroom. <br /><br />Downstairs has separate living area with a couch, chair, and small futon. There is a wet bar/kitchenette, a King bedroom, and a bathroom.<br /><br />There's lots of room for a large family, but cosy enough for a romantic getaway. If you must work, there is a roomy desk, high-speed internet access, and printer. <br /><br />The large back lanai has plenty of room for yoga sessions or grilling. Please contact me for more information if interested.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The entire home is for our guest - there are no shared spaces.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />ALOHA! <br /><br /> We recommend stopping at a grocery store or doing any needed shopping in Hilo on your way from the airport. We really hope you'll enjoy the property!<br /><br />CHECKIN: 4:00pm unless otherwise arranged. In most cases, we can’t accommodate early check ins because of check out's and cleanings taking place the same day. We’ll do our best to accommodate if possible, but please plan on checking in no earlier than 4pm on day of your arrival. We’ll send you the code as soon as our cleaner gives us the thumbs up that house is ready.<br /><br /> We recommend opening all the windows before you bring in the luggage to let in the ocean breeze. <br /><br />Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.<br /><br />Laundry Area: You may use the laundry machines located in the garage.<br /><br />Also FYI- the first 10 feet of coastline around the entire island is considered public property. You likely will see folks on cliffs fishing and hanging out. It’s legal due to state law.
