Owners live on the property, but you’ll enjoy full privacy with a separate entrance through the garage. Guests have access to the studio, parking, and private entryway. For safety and liability reasons, the pool and bar area are not available for guests' use. The suite offers AC, microwave, fridge, fast WiFi, and a desk for remote work. Perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and value below hotel prices.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />You have your own private entrance through the garage. There are a couple patio chairs just outside if you would like to sit out and enjoy a beverage. Pool and bar area are not available for guest use due to liability. (We love our poolside, but to keep everyone safe and the lawyers happy, it’s off-limits—think of it as our private tropical mirage you can admire but not dive into).<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Host works remotely on East Coast hours, so mornings start early—think roosters with laptops. Please be mindful of quiet hours: 8 PM – 7 AM. <br /><br />Treat our home with respect as if it were your own. <br /><br />No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property please. <br /><br />Maximum occupancy: 2 (ideal for couples or solo travelers—no surprise extra guests, unless they’re geckos, and already registered).<br /><br />We’ll always respect your privacy, and when it comes to socializing, we’ll follow your lead—whether that’s swapping travel stories or perfecting the art of the wave from a distance.<br /><br />Pool and bar area are not available for guest use due to liability. Entrance to your studio is through the garage. It gets very dark in Kona, no streetlights. Please exercise caution.<br /><br />Tropical surroundings come with friendly local wildlife such as bugs, coqui frogs, and geckos—part of the authentic Kona experience. (Earplugs are provided in case the nighttime chorus gets too lively).<br /><br />Our home has solar panels, and we try to mindful of our energy use. If you are using AC, please close all the chalice windows in the bedroom and a bathroom door or bathroom windows; turn the AC off when leaving and don’t set it below 74°F. AC will cool of the studio quickly. (Keep it comfy, not frosty, and help us keep island energy sustainable).<br /><br />Mahalo!
