Restaurants, shopping and attractions are just 10 minutes away.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />The cool ocean breeze will make you feel at home and live like a local with this well appointed and comfortable space. It is 3 bedrooms with 2 baths. There is a large lanai with a sleeper sofa and chaise lounges for star gazing and sunning and a bbq grilling. For those that need to stay connected, there is wifi and cable. Several types of fruit trees in small orchard on property you can pick and eat when in season! In the additional photos there is a QR code you can scan with your camera to see a You Tube video og the home.<br /><br />Hale Haku overlooks the the Sadie Seymour Botanical Gardens and Kona Education Center that features the historic Kealakowa’a (“the way for dragging canoes”) Heiau. This ritual site, built in the 1600’s in the time of King Umi, was used for blessing canoes and can be seen from the lanai. The 1.9-acre site contains a group of platforms including a heiau for the high priest to officiate, an astrological temple to study omens and navigational stars, the foundation of a high priest’s house, and the foundation of a house in which were held council meetings of the seers and chiefs. The sacred site is positioned along an ancient trail that led from the upland forests of Acacia koa trees on Mt. Hualalai down to the Pacific Ocean at Holualoa Bay.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The full house and outside property is available to guests. The garage is not accessible to guests.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />In regards to beach supplies, there are two foamy surfboards, one small hard surfboard, snorkel equipment, some boogie boards, beach chairs and an beach umbrella on property. There is often this equipment left in house from previous renters, but it is not maintained and is guests responsibility to clean properly for use or check to make sure they are functional.
