Location, location, location. The Beach House is the closest house to Magic Sands Beach. Magic Sands is the most popular beach in Kona. It is about 100 steps from the house to the beach. Remodeled in January 2022, the 3rd floor of the house boasts amazing ocean and sunset views from the living room and covered lanai. There are peek ocean views from every bedroom. Swimming pool, pickleball court, beach gear, AC, ping pong table and foosball table. You are in the heart of the beach action.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />The house is 3 stories with the main living area which gives you great ocean and sunset views. The house is roughly 200 steps from Magic Sands beach and near Magic Sands Grill, a popular local restaurant. Magic Sands Beach is the most popular local beach and gets it's name from the fact that when big waves come the sand can disappear and then reappear when the waves get small again. Plenty of parking onsite. We have a pool with a gazebo next to it and an outdoor table that sits 12 with a pickleball court nearby. With a pool, pickleball court, ping pong table, and foosball table you feel like you are at your own private resort. We extensively remodeled the house in January 2022 so the house has a lot of newer amenities. There is a washer and dryer on the 2nd floor and also under the house. In the 4 bedrooms there are 2 king beds, 1 queen bed and 2 queen beds. There is also a queen/double sized futon couch bed (spring loaded mattress so it is pretty comfy), a couple of portable padded cots you can move around and a large couch upstairs for a variety of sleeping options. We also love the beach, so the house house boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and other beach gear. The yard is fully fenced for additional privacy and there is plenty of parking for multiple cars. We are situated between downtown Kona (about 2 miles away) and the Keauhou Shopping Center (about 2 miles away.)<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />You get full use of the house, pool, pickleball court etc... as the house and space is not shared with anyone else.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Magic Sands Beach is main local beach in Kailua-Kona. It gets it's name from the fact when there are large storms/waves the sand can disappear at times and then it builds back when the waves are small. Like many other local beaches and beaches around the world the amount of sand on the beach can vary based on the weather. The pool is not heated but the bottom is dark blue so it absorbs direct sun. During the "summer" months (May-October) the pool temp will typically hover close to 90 degrees.
