This property sits on Kalanianaole Park which is on Hilo Bay. Sit on the back porch and soak in the beautiful view. The Ice Pond is next door ( a local swimming spot) and connects to the ocean. Close to town, just 2 miles from the airport close to shopping and restaurants. We are in a busy area and there is noise but the location is convenient and the house is well equipped. If you are sensitive to noise this is not your house. If you want charm on the ponds of Hilo this is your house!<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Waterfront, brackish ponds and a park. This house was newly renovated by a long time Hilo family. This is a two bedroom house with a very large lanai area for entertaining family and friends. The dinning area is on the lanai which can easily seat 6-8 people. Walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and downtown. <br /><br />OUR NEIGHBORS ARE BUILDING THEIR HOUSE NEXT DOOR. THEY HAVE A CREW WORKING DURING WORK HOURS. YOU NEED TO BE INFORMED BEFORE BOOKING IN CASE THIS IS A BIG CONCERN. ALOHA kALEO 5/5/25 UPDATE: the outside is mostly finished and they are continuing work on the inside.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />You may access the whole house, the second bathroom is downstairs and has its own locked entry which is great for beach cleanup and extra privacy. There is a laundry room downstairs which you may use.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Please do not make a reservation unless you truly intend to stay.
