Our home is conveniently located Ocean Front at Onekahakaha Beach Park, Hilo's safest and only sand bottom beach. Please inquire with us to learn how you can accommodate 10-14 guests with us. <br /><br />We are a short drive to the best attractions and shopping. Waterfalls, swimming holes, surf spots, shops, restaurants, the Zoo, music, art, and groceries are all near by.<br /><br />Our beach home is spacious, clean, recently refurbished , has all the comforts of home and facilitates the true life of a local.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Beautiful and clean locally owned home located at Hilo's best family beach!<br /><br />PLEASE NOTE: Home is located next to a brackish water pond. The pond's water levels rise and fall with the tide of the ocean. It sometimes has a fragrance at low tide. <br /><br />PLEASE NOTE: Our main house has a Japanese style shower. It has a deep step in to the shower of over 1 foot. It is not ideal for guests who struggle physically stepping up and down a steep step. <br /><br />WE DO NOT OFFER EARLY CHECK INS. You'll need to book the day prior should you need an early check in. <br /><br />We love our Hilo home! It is an old house, but we've updated the floors and fixtures and keep it clean. It is located on the beach and salt air and the jungle surrounding make for a very moist environment. You can expect to see normal ware from these elements in our home. Our large appliances may have some surface rust or discoloration but they are properly working and clean inside! You may also encounter bugs or lizards during your stay. We treat our home regularly to reduce insects but THIS IS HAWAII. You will see them from time to time. Keep all food tidy and put away to reduce your chances. <br /><br />NO REFUNDS are offered to any guests who decide they are unhappy with our accommodations after checkin. We've disclosed anything and everything we could think of and if you have questions before booking, we are happy to answer them! <br /><br />Our home is a good-time memory maker! You'll love it! If you think you are nit picky and easily irritated by the details mentioned above, then this is not the home for you. Hilo is an old town in Hawaii. The charm is apart of its personality.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />There is the option of an additional 1 bedroom “lock off” apartment with a full living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
