This is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself.<br /><br />We’re tucked away from the hustle and bustle of touristic Kona, offering a more authentic Hawaiian nature experience. We're close to 4 great snorkeling spots and at the same time, we’re close enough to enjoy great restaurants, coffee houses, and shopping — about 25 minutes from Kona town, 1 hour to Green Sands Beach, and 1.5 hours to Volcanoes National Park.<br /><br />The home is quiet, clean, and consciously lived in — a space oriented toward renewal, simplicity, and healing.<br /><br />As with most homes in Hawaiʻi’s tropical climate, the environment is alive. While we do our best to keep the space clean and doors screened, occasional critters such as geckos or insects may appear. This is a natural part of island living, and geckos in particular are harmless and helpful, as they eat bugs.<br /><br />Our bedroom and bathroom (mine and my partner’s) are located on the opposite side of the home for maximum privacy. We’re early-to-bed, early-to-rise types.<br /><br />Your room is located closer to the kitchen and near another guest room. If the second room is occupied, the bathroom you’ll use may be shared with the other guest/s.<br /> <br />There is also an additional bathroom on the other side of the house that can be used if needed.<br /><br />Because the home has open airflow and shared living spaces, sound can travel more easily than in a hotel. We’re all considerate about noise, but if you’re very sound-sensitive, earplugs can be helpful. (provided)<br /><br />The property is alive with Hawaiian wildlife — wild chickens, friendly feral cats, colorful geckos, and an abundance of local birds. You’re welcome to observe, interact gently, or simply enjoy their presence.<br /><br />We’re fortunate to have relatively few mosquitoes compared to many Hawaiian homes; they tend to appear briefly around sunrise and sunset.<br /><br />We also offer snorkeling gear for guests to borrow — just let us know your size.<br /><br />🚗 We recommend renting a car.
