January mornings here arrive soft and cool, with pale winter light coming through historic windows and city rooftops stretching out below. Come evening, the glow of the Bay Bridge and downtown skyline settles into view, and the apartment takes on a warmth that makes it genuinely hard to leave.

The apartment
This 2-bedroom, 1-bath space occupies the entire second floor of a historic Victorian home that has been in the same family for generations and featured in San Francisco tour books. Diamond-pitched ceilings, original artwork, and a curated mix of Mid-Century Modern, antique, and vintage furnishings give the space its distinct character - less staged retreat, more lived-in creative home with real roots.

Living space
The living room faces out toward the city skyline and Bay Bridge, a view that earns its reputation most on clear winter afternoons and after dark. Central heating keeps things comfortable throughout the cooler months, and portable heaters and fans are also available. Whether you're settling in with a book from the curated collection or winding down after a full day in the city, the living room holds its own as a place to simply be.

Sleeping arrangements
The first bedroom features a Queen bed with a walk-in closet - an unusual and welcome touch in a city where storage is rarely generous. The second bedroom offers a Full bed with additional clothing storage nearby. Both rooms are made up with 100% bamboo sheet linens, and extra pillows and blankets are provided.

Kitchen & dining
The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and all the cooking basics you need to put together a proper meal. A Keurig coffee machine, hot water kettle, toaster, baking sheet, and wine glasses round out the setup. The dining table offers a comfortable spot for meals and unhurried mornings, and Wifi is available throughout the apartment.

Workspace
A dedicated workspace is located in a shared indoor area, complete with a surge protector - a practical setup for remote work days between exploring the neighborhood.

Bathroom
The bathroom features a bathtub, hair dryer, hot water, and a full set of Public Goods toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.

Outdoor spaces
A private patio or balcony gives you a place to step outside for fresh air and city views at any time of day. The property also includes a fully fenced backyard with outdoor furniture - a calm spot to sit with a coffee or catch some afternoon light, even in January.

Entertainment
Inside, an HDTV with Roku, a BOSE Bluetooth sound system, and a curated selection of books and reading material offer easy ways to settle in. A yoga mat is available for stretching or a quiet morning practice.

Location
The apartment is located in Bernal Heights - a neighborhood known for its colorful Victorian streetscapes, independent cafes, local markets, and genuinely welcoming community. Restaurants, parks, and public transit are within walking distance, with easy access to the Mission District, Valencia Corridor, and beyond. Bernal Hill sits nearby and offers one of the city's best open viewpoints, particularly rewarding on clear winter days. Free street parking is available.

A private entrance and self check-in via lockbox make arrival simple, day or night.

Guest access
You have private access to the entire 2nd-floor apartment, featuring 2 bedrooms and 1 bath.

Enjoy a private roof deck with breathtaking, unobstructed views of the city.

Your hosts live downstairs in the lower part of the house.
