Our home is right off Ski Run Blvd 2 blocks from the beach, walking distance to Heavenly Ski Resort and the casinos. Close to parks, restaurants and shopping. You’ll love the location, all the amenities, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and front porch for relaxing. The private side yard with BBQ and picnic table. Our home is great for family vacations or a romantic get away. You'll find yourself very comfortable in our home away from home in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Our home was build back in 1946. The stairway hand rail is made of aspen trees cut down by the builder and his sons from just off Ski Run Blvd. It was designed as a family vacation home with great separation, two stories, 2 bedrooms 1 bath on each level. Allowing everyone their own space while sharing memorable times together. After the builder finished building the front house, he decided to build the second back house. The builder and his brother built 5 different homes here on Forest Ave. We bought this home back in 2001 after many years of being abandoned and neglected. We’ve invested many hours, sweat and tears to get it where it is today. Like all homes we have many ideas and plans for more improvements as time allows. The back house is a full time rental while the front house is our vacation home we share with families on Airbnb. The kitchen comes fully equipped for all your meal planning. Gather around the cozy gas fireplace during the cool months and play board games, watch movies, family time and relaxing with friends. The front porch is a favorite spot to begin or end any day. Placed in one of the nicest neighborhoods full of great neighbors. The location is excellent for all of Tahoe activities.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />You can walk two blocks to a public beach where there are many shops, restaurants, bike, kayak rentals and so much more! Right up the street on Ski Run Blvd, just 2 blocks away on Friday afternoons in the summer is Farmers Market and many more restaurants and shopping. The casinos and Heavenly Ski Resort are less than a mile away. The BlueGo bus will pick you up on the corner and take you up to Heavenly for a day on the slops. Whole Foods Market is 1/2 block from our cabin. Bijou Park is a great playground for the whole family and less than 2 miles away. There you’ll find, disc golf, skateboard park, bike park, playground for the little ones, picnic grounds with tables and trails for walking, running and biking. Anything you need is only steps away! Great Location!<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />We thank you for respecting and taking good care of our Tahoe retreat. Garbage must be handled properly to avoid fines. Please put all garbage in the bear box and never leave it outside. We don’t allow parties, smoking inside or disturbing the neighborhood. If a problem arises please inform us as soon as possible.
