Enjoy Kauai's simple pleasures and grand landscapes right from home.<br /><br />This is a private, stand alone villa located in the community of Princeville.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />E Komo Mai (Welcome, come in)!<br /><br />The villa is a traditional Hawaiian-style, two-story design with 1,365 sq ft of living space, and comfortably accommodates up to five guests. To the South, the view looks over a lush green valley toward the rugged interior mountains with cascading waterfalls, shifting sunlight, and brilliant rainbows. To the North, the home opens to the shimmering blue Pacific. The scenic cliff overlook is a great place to take in sunset and to whale watch. These natural surroundings provide a dramatic backdrop to your island retreat. Some of the most beautiful scenery on the island is right at home. <br /><br />The open living space, covered lanai, beach closet, and half bath are on the upper/entry level. The lower level of the home has three bedrooms; a new queen Tempur-Pedic firm mattress on platform bed in the primary bedroom, a new King mattress in 2nd bedroom, and a new Twin XL in office/study serving as a 3rd bedroom. Also downstairs are two full baths, covered lanai and a laundry area with full size washer/dryer. <br /><br />The villa sits atop an ocean bluff allowing the trade winds to flow through keeping the home fresh, bright, and comfortable. There are numerous louvered windows throughout, sliding glass doors, ceiling fans, and several area fans. The bedrooms have portable AC units for additional sleeping comfort if desired. <br /><br />The home is equipped with free WiFi; Internet Ultra Speeds up to 400 Mbps will accommodate a family of moderate internet users or a couple of high-demand users working remotely.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Consider the home your own private paradise! Seven days prior to your arrival, you will be given a key code for self check-in and check-out. <br /><br />As our guest you will have access to all of the home's amenities including beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, cooler bags and sun umbrellas, so no need to rent or pack these items. <br /><br />We spend as much time here as possible and have furnished and stocked the villa to serve as our home away from home, and we want our guests to kick back, relax, and fully enjoy the home just as we do when on island.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />The home will be professionally cleaned and sanitized prior to arrival. <br /><br />The full kitchen allows you to prepare meals at home. Foodland is located in the Princeville Center. Hydro flasks and filtered water are provided so no need to purchase bottled water. <br /><br />Princeville is a county approved Visitor Destination Area. Our privately owned home is Owner Managed along with an on-island caretaker. This is a registered Vacation Rental with the Princeville Community Association, and in compliance with State of Hawaii Department of Taxation. The State of Hawai’i charges a 11% Transient Accommodation Tax along with a 4.5% General Excise Tax.
