Inside, you'll find two comfortable bedrooms—one with a queen bed and one with a king—each with closets and dressers for easy storage.<br /><br />The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove/oven, and microwave, making it easy to prepare meals at home. Step outside to enjoy your own outdoor area, complete with a propane BBQ, seating, and lighting—perfect for relaxing or dining under the stars.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Additional Guest Info – Hale Sakai<br /><br />Parking & Amenities<br />Guests have access to plentiful off-street parking, including one covered stall under the carport. Enjoy high-speed internet, a Bluetooth speaker, DirecTV, and a shared washer and dryer for added convenience during your stay.<br /><br />Guest Access & Restrictions<br />You’re welcome to explore the lush, peaceful tropical gardens surrounding the property. However, please note that the main house, rear lanai, and open space beneath the main house are off-limits to guests.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Please Read Before Booking – Hale Sakai<br /><br />Occupancy & Additional Guests<br />Hale Sakai comfortably accommodates up to four guests. The base nightly rate includes two guests. A fee of $15 per night applies for each additional guest beyond double occupancy.<br /><br />Island Bugs & Wildlife<br />Living in Kona means sharing the environment with nature 🌿 While our unit is professionally cleaned between stays, you may occasionally encounter local island wildlife such as ants, geckos, mosquitoes, spiders, cockroaches, centipedes, bees, moths, or even scorpions. Screens and bug spray are provided for your comfort. If insects are a major concern for you, this may not be the best fit.<br /><br />Temperature & Air Conditioning<br />Kona temperatures are generally cool to moderate during winter (November–April) and warmer during summer (May–October). Hale Sakai is equipped with air conditioning, three ceiling fans, three floor fans, and extra blankets for cooler evenings. To help conserve energy, please keep doors and windows closed when the A/C is in use and turn it off when you leave the unit.<br /><br />Resident Cats<br />Three friendly outdoor cats live on the property and may say hello during your stay. They do not enter the rental. Guests with cat allergies or sensitivities may want to consider this before booking.<br /><br />Parties & Gatherings<br />To maintain a peaceful environment for our guests and neighbors, parties and large gatherings are not permitted.<br /><br />A Little Slice of Real Hawaiʻi 🌺<br />Along with ocean breezes and tropical sunsets comes the sound of coqui frogs at night.
