Only a short walk to our local beach and convenience stores nearby, yet far enough away to feel complete disconnect. Wake to birdsong, sip coffee on the screened lanai, and unwind in a serene, eco-friendly space. With simple comforts, a loft bed, & indoor/outdoor living, it’s a quiet escape to reconnect with the land and experience the calm of Hawaii.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Breathe, a rustic modern cabin that will take your breath away with views of the Sacred Valley and the soothing sounds of the north shore surf.  Designed In the tradition of the Hawaiian lifestyle incorporating an eco friendly experience, it will feel like a quintessential Hawaiian experience. It's a cabin with a "loo with a view" (a custom composting toilet) also indoor/out mod cons like hot indoor/outdoor shower and a kitchen equipped with a toaster oven and hot plate. Climb up to bed in the loft. Wake up with coffee in the morning and listen to the birds; watch the Hawaiian wildlife as you sit in the screened in lanai. Frequent visits of wild boar and mongoose will captivate your experience.  Try a campfire at night or a hike to the beautiful river. The property sits on acres of farmland and you have the opportunity to be part of the A'ina program to learn about Hawaiian cultural living and caring for the land.<br />This is truely a stay for the adventurer and naturalist.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />INSECTS AND CREATURES <br />Although the entire place has been screed for insects be prepared with repellent for the odd mosquito. <br /><br />This is Hawaii so expect geckos to show up...They are totally harmless. <br /><br />TOILET<br />The toilet is a composting one that you must sit down on always...men included! You must cover your "gifts" with two scoops of peat moss/sawdust. Please keep an eye on the level of the effluent level and let us know about half way up the container. There is very little smell. You must always close toilet lid.<br /><br />HOUSEKEEPING<br />Shoes off while you are inside please.<br />There are bins at the turnoff on the main highway if you need to remove waste.<br /><br />CAMPFIRE<br />Please keep fire in the firepit and never use more than a few logs at a time. <br /><br />OUTDOOR FURNITURE<br />Keep the cushions indoors when not in use.<br /><br /><b>Registration Details</b><br />530090040000, TA-190-382-8992-01
