Welcome to Maui by the Sea on the North Shore of Maui, Hawaii!<br />Maui by the Sea is a beautiful permitted vacation rental - an ideal ocean-view cottage located ocean front between Paia and Ho’okipa, on Maui's scenic and exciting North Shore<br /><br />With 25 years of experience, Maui By The Sea has always operated under a legal County of Maui permit and our current permit is valid through 2031.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />We have been operating since 2001. Our cottage is one of the rare, close to Paia with ocean view. Very cozy and private. We recently installed Central Air Conditioning.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The property is ocean front, our home is on the ocean side and the cottage is on the road side. Of course our guests have access to the chairs and table located at the edge of the ocean. No beach access from the property as there are some big rocks sitting in front. But a beach is walking distance from here. Tavares Beach.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />Booking Requirements:<br /><br />Electronic Agreement Required: <br />We ask all guests to review and electronically sign our standard Rental Agreement. After booking, please provide your email address so we can send you the secure, mobile-friendly link.<br /><br />Confirmation: Your reservation is fully confirmed once we receive your completed digital agreement.<br /><br />Important Property Disclosures:<br /><br />Hana Highway & Road Noise: The cottage sits off Hana Highway (a local, two-lane island road, not a mainland-style highway). Occasional traffic noise may be audible. To maximize your comfort, the cottage features high-quality insulation and central air conditioning.<br /><br />Tropical Environment & Bugs: Hawaii has a warm, tropical climate. While we treat the property quarterly with Terminix, you may occasionally see local island critters (ants, geckos, etc.) indoors or outdoors. This is a natural part of the ecosystem and does not qualify for refunds.<br /><br />Security & Privacy: For property safety, one security camera is installed inside the garage.
