Nestled in the jungle, our cozy tiki hut offers 2 comfortable rooms, each with its own private entry from a shared lanai/outdoor living space. An outdoor covered walkway leads to a small outdoor kitchen and shared bath among cottage guests only. Queen beds, fast internet. Located in a unique jungle setting minutes away from the famous Captain Cook trail with breathtaking views leading to Kealakekua Bay. Note that 17.5% additional State/County Tax is added to each booking.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />The whole place is yours during your stay. Each of the two private bedrooms leads to an outdoor lanai/living area with places for seating and dining. Your private outdoor kitchen and bath are just steps away along a covered walkway. A dedicated wi-fI router provides high-speed internet access. <br /><br />The tiki hut is set between a monkey pod and a magical banyan tree in a unique jungle environment. Lots of life surrounds you—a symphony of coqui frogs, parrots, pheasants, mongooses, geckos, and colorful local chickens! You may hear or see any of them at any time, adding to the adventure and natural charm of the place.<br /><br />This magical space is perfect for two friends, colleagues, family members, or couples traveling together to stay close, but each has a private room. It also makes for a lovely private retreat for writing, making art, working, or relaxing island style. You can also enjoy our shared outdoor pool and its beautiful deck, as well as a shared hot tub. Please note that the pool is for guests ages 5 and up, and the hot tub is for guests 14 and older<br /><br />Coffee and tea are provided, in room and in the shared kitchen. Yoga mats and beach towels are also provided. We also have some snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, and an umbrella available on a first-come, first-served basis. Plus, a convenient poolside bathroom and shower—everything you need for a fun and relaxing getaway! <br /><br />This unique jungle property is set down from the main road on a quiet lane. Views of the ocean from various parts of the property add to its charm. One parking space for each private room is available directly across from the cottage.
