Comfortable 1200 ft elevation<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Aloha!<br />We are on 8 acres of mixed forest and gardens one mile off the highway down a dirt country road. The guest house is the second floor of a metal building. <br />Upstairs is a private studio with great views and a nice breeze. 6+ foot custom concrete tub and a large deck. Downstairs is un occupied storge.<br />Owner lives on the property and works the land. <br /><br /> Once you are rested, there is plenty to do. This central location is perfect for day trips. Head north to Captain Cook Bay where snorkeling allows you to get up close and personal with a vast array of beautiful fish. 35 miles north and you are in Kailua Kona. With it's white sand beach, large assortment of restaurants and shopping opportunities, you'll find lots to keep you busy. Is anyone up for manta ray watching?<br /> <br />Going south provides more wonders to enjoy. Punaluu Black Sand Beach lets you encounter large sea turtles. The cliffs at South Point are awe inspiring with their powerful waves. Volcanoes National Park can provide a whole day of activities from lectures to hikes, depending on your interests.<br /> <br />Come and enjoy all this special retreat has to offer!<br /> Mahalo!<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />We are on a country road about a mile off the highway. Parking is not an issue.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />About our property.<br />We live in the forest. 1 Mile down a bumpy dirt road. Not 4WD. <br />This is a second story unit<br />We have wild pigs, goats, turkeys, Birds, Geckos, mice, ants, Roaches, Ect. We do our best to keep the small critters out of the house but it is the forest, and we dont want to spray the toxic chemicals to ensure there are no bugs. Some times they get in.<br />The bathroom is SEMI outdoor leading out to a 10 foot high fenced deck. No lock to the bathroom. It is a very safe neighborhood. NO crime issues. IF you want to sleep in a fortress, this is not the place for you. <br /><br />We recommend leaving the bathroom door closed and the light off when your not using it. This keeps the mosquitoes and gnats away. We recommend keeping the doors closed to keep critters out. The house is well ventilated with screened windows. <br />The bathtub, counters and Bathroom floor are poured polished concrete. After years of cleaning, in some-places, the sand and rock in the cement has come to the surface. It does not mean anything is not clean. There is a mix of , black, white and assorted colors of sand in the mix. The Tub is a one-off specialty tub.
