Experience the magic of Hawai’i Island in this newly built tiny home, nestled in a lush tropical rainforest. Just 25 minutes from Hilo Airport and 45 minutes from Volcano National Park, it’s the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience.

Cook in the unique screened-in kitchen, refresh yourself in the spacious rainfall shower, and unwind with a movie on the projector screen in a luxurious king-size bed.

Your perfect rainforest getaway awaits!

The space
The tiny house sits on an acre lot in Hawaiian Paradise Park. The property is surrounded by vibrant plants and fruit trees, including several strawberry guava trees right next to the tiny house. There is also a main house on the property where I reside, ensuring I’m readily available for any questions or assistance during your stay. Four friendly chickens also live on the land. While the setting feels secluded and nature-filled, it is still a residential area, so occasional neighborhood sounds like passing cars or dogs may be heard. The paved street directly off the driveway is safe for walking, running, or biking.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire tiny home as it is completely separate and secluded from the main house.

This space is new and there are still improvements being made, mainly to the landscape as new plants grow in. It’s a gravel nature trail about 100ft from the parking spot and it’s not perfectly flat so please be mindful when booking; I would not recommend this space for anyone with mobility issues.

Other things to note
Please note that while this beautiful property is surrounded by nature, it is also home to some Hawaiian wildlife—including mosquitoes, geckos, and coqui frogs— and it frequently rains at night. I do my best to keep bugs out of the unit, but it’s important to remember that a completely bug-free environment is not feasible in Hawaii. I appreciate your understanding.

This home runs on filtered rainwater, so I kindly ask you to be mindful of water usage and help to conserve water when possible. Additionally, the unit uses a biogas toilet similar to a boat toilet (you use a handle to “pump” the toilet to flush), equipped with a bidet for your comfort. Please dispose of all products, including toilet paper, in the trash rather than flushing them. Mahalo for your cooperation!
