Welcome to Ginger Farms—our renovated 1910 farmhouse, less than 5 minute drive from the vibrant downtown square. A heated pool and hot tub serve as the centerpiece of our outdoor space surrounded by a spacious patio with large outdoor dining table, grill and fire pit, promising endless fun and relaxation under the sun. The Primary Suite downstairs has a king-size bed and en suite bathroom with roomy shower. The built-out attic Guest Suite includes a king-size bed, crib, and en suite bathroom with a beautiful clawfoot tub. It is designed as an open-concept space, meaning it does not have a door. We find it adds to the charm and spacious feel of the room. The water tower room has a day bed with a trundle – great for the kids. The ships ladder in the water tower leads to a loft with another daybed - lots of sun and great views of the surrounding vineyards. Both of these spaces share a barn door. Young children should not use the loft water tower without adult supervision. In particular the ships ladder is steep. There is a gate at the top of the loft for safety. <br /> <br />Outside, a sparkling pool and hot tub await off a large communal table just outside the kitchen comfortably fits 10. Outdoor couches and chaise lounges on the opposite end with plenty of umbrellas for lounging in the shade. Beyond the pool, enjoy laying on the lush grass, or playing cornhole. The gas firepit is a great place to relax with a glass of wine after the sun goes down. <br /><br />The pool and hot tub are separate and provide more intimate experiences. The pool includes a "baja deck," which is a six inch deep portion where kids can crawl around and enjoy the water (with adult supervision of course) or just a place to keep cool without taking the full plunge. The pool cover has a motorized open and close to ensure safety if kids and toddlers are around. The pool and hot tub are gas heated. Hot Tub can be heated during the winter months - normally takes about 30-45 minutes to get to temperature. Pool can be heated for an additional charge during November to April. Please inquire at booking. <br /> <br />We are active cooks in our house and the kitchen should have just about anything you need to prepare a meal including high-end blender, hand mixer, etc. The butch block island is great for prep work and hanging with the family. We encourage you to cut directly on that butch block. The bench scraper is a helpful tool for cleanup. <br /><br />Coffee snobs are welcome with a Fellow grinder along with either V60 pour over or french press. Please bring your preferred beans. For those that are less particular, a Keurig machine is ready to make quick coffee for you in minutes. And we will supply pods.<br /> <br />And if you’re a music person, there are sonos speakers inside and outside for your favorite playlists.<br /> <br />The house is on the grid for power, gas and cable (including internet). Cell phone coverage is fine and wifi is solid (generally >300Mbps down). We do have a gas generator for backup just in case. We are on well water but we also have a dedicated drinking water filter on top of the house filter in the kitchen sink. Lastly, we are on septic, so be cautious and do not use anything but septic approved TP provided in the house.<br /><br />The entire property is solely used by the guest, there are no additional or separate parties/guests on the property.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />Gated driveway make this your personal private retreat. Most of the property has fencing to keep critters out and kids and dogs in. But we are in the country and can’t guaranty smaller pets won’t find a hole in a fence here or there.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />The maximum number of overnight guests is limited to 7 adults. <br /><br />One dog ok (under 25 lbs. please) with prior approval and a $150 pet fee.<br /><br />Please bring trash cans to the curb Thursday evening - trash pick up is Friday. <br />$50 fee applies if trash is not taken to the curb in time for pickup.<br /><br />No extra charge to heat the pool May to October. Please inquire at booking for additional charges outside of those months. <br /><br />No parties are allowed on the premises. Out of respect to our neighbors, I have advised my neighbors to inform me anytime there is an obvious gathering at the house. Our home is in a very quiet neighborhood and our neighbors live there full-time. This keeps our promise and respect to our neighbors and they have been more than kind to our guests as a result. Any verified complaint from our neighbor(s) will result in guests being asked to leave with all rental fees and deposits forfeited by guest. <br /><br />Owner will not be liable for any items left in the home during Guest’s occupancy, or after the guests have departed. Please be sure to keep your valuables with you at all times. There is not a security safe in the home. <br /><br />Please do not request blocked dates and please note we do not negotiate prices or fees. <br /><br />Please carefully review the house rules, policies and indemnity.
