A one-way door opens onto the garage with the washer and the dryer. The studio is walking distance to Solano Avenue with gourmet restaurants and cafes. The BART train is a 10-minute walk away. Ideal for access to Berkeley or San Francisco.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Entry into the studio is through a patio that opens into a garden with lounge chairs, a dining table with an umbrella, and a barbecue. The main room has a double bed, a spacious work area, lots of lighting, and a closet. Adjoining the main room is an area with a kitchenette and a private bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has a two-burner natural gas stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, a tea-kettle, and a toaster. At the other end of the kitchen is a one-way door that opens into the garage with the washer and a dryer. This door cannot be opened from the other side because it is locked from inside the studio, ensuring complete privacy for the guests. Guests are welcome to the laundry facilities but please note that I am on a utility rate plan called Time of Use Rates which means that the price of electricity is higher after 4 PM. Therefore, I encourage all my guests to do their laundry earlier in the day as much as possible.
