Start the day with a hike in the forest and then head to the beach for some snorkeling.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />2 bedroom house located in Kailua Kona in the Kaloko mauka subdivision. 10 minutes from the airport and close to Kailua Kona town and beaches, yet quiet and secluded. See a piece of Hawaii visitors rarely see. Beautiful hiking trails a short walk from the house, great for bird watchers. Located at 2700’ elevation, and averaging 10 to 15 degrees cooler then sea level. Makes for comfortable sleeping. Winter mornings can be in the low 50's, but there is a wood stove for those cooler mornings. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the 2nd room has a trundle bed and there is a queen size futon in the living room. There is a large walk in shower, as well as an outdoor bath tub.
