We are accredited with the American Association for Nude Recreation and are committed to keeping this a safe and trusted space.<br /><br />When you reserve a cabin its is all yours (not shared). The common areas are shared by other guests and the caretaker.<br /><br /><b>The space</b><br />Yes we are a family friendly nudist venue. What does this mean? Simply put, we are just like other camping venues, except you can leave your clothing behind. Never tried it before? We welcome "every body" and are a wholesome non-sexual venue accredited with the American Association for Nude Recreation. <br /><br />Note. If you are considering a month long stay or more, you must meet the following requirements before we will approve you:<br /><br />1. Couples of 2 or families of 3 only. The loft is small and best suited for a child who can navigate comfortably up and down a loft ladder.<br />2. Adults subject to background check. with ID required and interview.<br />3. Must be clothing optional friendly and be comfortable around other guests who are naturist. <br />4. Must agree to property rules detailed on Airbnb.<br />5. Must be willing to remove own trash, wash own linens (we provide), and clean up after yourself if cooking. <br /><br />We have many first-timers and pride ourselves on promoting body positivity and acceptance. Yes we welcome entire families. No. The only areas it's mandatory is in our pool and hot tub. All other areas clothing is optional. If you have not tried it before, feel free to message us with questions. We want you to be comfortable.<br /><br />This listing is for 1 cabin at our retreat and accommodates from 3 people (2 adults 1 child). The cabin is all yours but the outdoor areas are shared. <br /><br />Other helpful things to know:<br />We are at 2500 ft altitude which means A/C is not needed.<br /><br />We are just 7 miles from Volcano National Park! <br /> <br />As you enter these three private bungalows through the sliding glass doors, you will find a cozy bamboo interior authentically designed and decorated to reflect true Hawaiian culture. The bed is fitted with high end memory foam mattresses and clean crisp bedding. <br /> <br />What the stay might feel like:<br />Imagine feeling the warmth of the filtered morning sunlight peering through the Ohia trees as you sip a warm cup of provided coffee. Tropical  bird songs fill the jungle! Maybe you will go for a dip in our pure rainwater pool or head to the incredible jetted lava rock showers!  Words and pictures can't convey what it's like to experience this very special place.<br /><br />You will feel great knowing your are leaving a very minimal carbon footprint by staying here. We are a true off-grid Eco resort. All power comes from the sun and we catch the rainwater for our showers and pool. Our drinking water starts from the snowfall atop Mauna Kea and spends 30 years filtering down through the volcanic rock before making it to our local spring. <br /><br />We are centrally located on the Big Island of Hawaii so you will also be able to visit all the best sites on island! Our caretaker is always happy to help navigate you to island must sees!<br />​<br />Our amenities include our large 32x16 ft pool, off grid Hot tub, restroom facilities, lava rock showers and outdoor seating area just to name a few! <br /><br />You will love the mid 70s temperatures that are common at this higher elevation. They are perfect for relaxing, strolling the grounds, or going for a swim in the "cold pool" that is kept at a brisk 74 degrees. The option of being nude surrounded by the rainforest jungle and filtered sunlight brings a special kind of enlightenment not to be missed! All visitors are subject to a sex offender background check. <br /><br />Is this a green facility?<br />Yes. Our power comes from our large solar array and our water supply comes from rainfall. We use eco friendly products wherever possible and recycle. Our resort uses low consumption to operate. <br /><br />Are there hiking trails in the area?<br />YES. Volcano National Park is over 500 square miles in size and has world class hikes! We can also send you a list of our favorite outdoor spots and must see locations.<br /><br />Are late arrivals okay?<br />YES but special arrangements need to be made through messaging if arriving after 8pm. We keep the grounds dark at night so the stars can be enjoyed.<br /><br />Is there power near by for charging my devices?<br />YES. The cabins have power outlets suitable for phones/tablets, and other small devices. Please keep in mind since our power comes from the sun we ask that no heavy appliances are used. <br /><br />Is there hot water and drinkable water on site?<br />YES. Please use the supplied drinking water dispenser. Water in showers and hand wash sinks is not for drinking as it is unfiltered rainwater. <br /><br />Is there free parking?<br />YES! <br /><br />What are the pool hours?<br />8am-8pm.<br /><br />You are located in the rain forest jungle. Does all that extra rain detract from the experience? <br />No. The serenity and lush green life this rain brings is special! <br /><br />What is the size and layout of this little bamboo bungalow?<br />The bungalow space is VERY small at 100 sq ft. The pool side cabins are insulated to minimize sound transmission. We have quiet hours from 8pm to 8am. <br /><br />Is the property gated?<br />YES! We will give you the gate instructions before you arrive for a stress free check-in! <br /><br />Is there a place for me to keep perishable foods?<br />We have coolers available upon request.
