One block from Golden Gate Park and Haight Street. 12 minutes by car to Moscone Convention Center. Walking distance to UCSF Medical Center, six blocks.<br /><br />Luxurious Haight Ashbury Victorian flat. Relax in the jacuzzi, hot tub, deck, or living room. Enjoy Direct TV, audiophile stereo, thousands of DVDs and CDs and many art books. Fast Wifi and complete kitchen and laundry.<br /><br />This is a large, cheery, beautiful flat with a lot of character which will make your stay more interesting than any hotel.<br /><br />Bedroom can comfortably accommodate two people with a very comfortable King size Dux bed.<br /><br />One block to Haight Street, half a block to Golden Gate Park, six blocks to UCSF Parnassus, ten minute walk to de Young Museum and USF campus. I<br /><br />There are many good restaurants and bars in Haight Ashbury and adjacent Ashbury Heights for food, drink and live music; Haight Street is great for shopping and people watching. There is Whole Foods and Amoeba Music just one block away. Haight Street Market is on Haight at Ashbury and is the best market about five blocks away.<br /><br />Street parking in front of my house for two hours and a public parking lot two blocks away.Easy public transport. Really.<br /> If you are allergic to cat or dog hair perhaps the buffalo skin on the sofa or the grizzly bear skin on the floor might make you sneeze. (However, you may roll up both skins and put them in the hall or corner of the living room if this causes you to sneeze.)<br />HOWEVER, PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. The food is on the dining room table.<br />The network is Larry and the password is (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).<br />TV<br />First, power on with the LG remote and use the Roku remote to select a channel. The DVD player is the Sony on the top of the stack with a black remote control. <br />Stereo<br />Power on the pre-amp by pushing the top/ power button on the black Monster Power unit below the CD player. Then power on the two amplifiers next to each speaker. It will take a minute for the amps to warm up. Volume control is on the pre-amp in the rack below the Monster Power unit. The CD player should remain powered on.<br />Nearby Restaurants and Bars<br />The Alembic is the best restaurant and is located right around the corner at 1735 Haight Street. There is a good prix fix menu. <br />Zazie is the best place for breakfast and lunch is on Cole Street between Carl and Parnassus. It also has an excellent weekend brunch.<br />A convenient choice for groceries is Whole Foods one block away. A much better choice is Ashbury Market on Haight Street at Ashbury. Both have soups and sandwiches. Whole Foods has a very good salad bar.<br />There are many fun bars on Haight Street.. There is good live music almost every night somewhere.
