Intentionally TV-free, it's a place designed for conversation rather than screens. The fully equipped kitchen flows directly into the backyard, so moving between cooking and outdoor dining is effortless. A mid-century dining area bridges the two spaces with character.<br /><br />Sleeping arrangements<br />Upstairs, the primary queen suite comes with its own en suite bathroom - a calm, private retreat after a full day. A second bedroom on this level features a private balcony with garden views, and a third bedroom offers a twin trundle setup, well-suited to families traveling with kids. A hallway bathroom serves the upper-floor rooms. On the main floor, a studio with a sofa bed, TV, and private entrance adds a layer of flexibility - ideal for guests who want a degree of separation, or a dedicated space to work.<br /><br />Kitchen & dining<br />The kitchen is fully stocked for everything from a quick morning coffee to a proper dinner: gas stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hot water kettle, toaster, wine glasses, and all the basics. A dining table seats the group comfortably, and the layout makes it easy to cook and connect at the same time.<br /><br />Outdoor space<br />The fully fenced backyard is lined with bamboo, creating a sense of privacy that's hard to find in a residential neighborhood. The private hot tub is the natural anchor of the space - soak after a long day, or gather around the fire pit on a cool Bay Area evening. Outdoor furniture, a dedicated dining area, and a comfortable patio setup mean there's room to relax, eat, or simply sit outside without any effort.<br /><br />Comfort & connectivity<br />The home is equipped with air conditioning, central heating, and portable fans - keeping the temperature comfortable across seasons. In-unit washer and dryer, iron, drying rack, clothing storage, and all bathroom essentials mean you don't need to pack heavy. Strong WiFi and a dedicated workspace in a private room make remote work a practical option. A Pack 'n Play is available on-site for families traveling with infants, and a ping pong table adds a casual entertainment option.<br /><br />Parking & access<br />Self check-in is handled via keypad - no coordination required on arrival. Dining and entertainment options are walkable from the front door.<br /><br />Please note: This property does not allow pets.<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />You'll have full access to the entire house, including the main house, the back studio, and the entire backyard, featuring a hot tub. You'll also have 2-3 parking spots in the driveway for your convenience.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />🚿 BATHROOM FIX<br />During stays for more than 4 nights, we have an IMPORTANT request to help maintain the showers and prevent any overflow that could cause water DAMAGE to the lower level ceiling. Each shower has a slender tile covering the drain—please lift it gently (you might need a utensil to help lift) and clean out the strainer/basket underneath the tile every 3 days. <br /><br />We will send you a reminder and ask that you confirm that this has been taken care of. It usually takes less than 10 minutes total, but if it’s inconvenient, we can send someone over to handle it instead. <br /><br />MID-STAY CLEANINGS<br />Guests staying longer than 10 nights are required to pay for and schedule a mid-stay cleaning. This is mandatory for all extended stays and is particularly important for reservations with pets. We'll work with you to arrange a convenient time during your stay. <br /><br />🔊 DOWNTOWN NOISE<br />This home is located in a lively downtown area near restaurants, bars, Caltrain (about a 10-minute walk), and the courthouse. Some street noise is to be expected.<br /><br />Trash and recycling collection for nearby restaurants occurs several mornings per week and can be audible for approximately 5–10 minutes early in the day. Light sleepers may prefer the quieter back bedrooms.<br /><br />🎉 EVENTS<br />Events require prior approval, an additional deposit, and a signed agreement. Small indoor gatherings such as bridal or baby showers may be approved. For larger gatherings, the backyard patio is the preferred space.<br /><br />🛁 HOT TUB & YARD MAINTENANCE<br />Our hot tub technician services the spa every Friday for approximately 30–60 minutes to check water quality. Access is via the side gate and should not disturb your stay.<br /><br />Guests use the hot tub at their own risk.<br /><br />🌿 Yard Maintenance<br />Landscaping maintenance, including leaf blowing and light upkeep, typically occurs on Fridays.<br /><br />🔥 PROPANE<br />Propane tanks for the fire pit and heat lamps are not always refilled between stays. There is no TV in the main living room, making it an ideal space for conversation and relaxation. The upstairs Full size bedroom also has a large TV.<br /><br />🚭🐾 POLICIES<br />No pets are allowed on the property.<br />Service animals are welcome; however, they must not be left unattended anywhere in the house or backyard and may not use the faux grass or yard for restroom purposes. Guests are responsible for walking them off property as needed.<br /><br />🚭 Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors and on the porch. Please use the designated curb area.<br /><br />🪑 NORMAL WEAR & TEAR<br />This is a professionally maintained, high-traffic rental. While all linens and soft furnishings are laundered and items are cleaned regularly, minor cosmetic wear consistent with normal use may be present.<br /><br />🧳 LUGGAGE <br />We do our best to accommodate LUGGAGE STORAGE when possible, but it isn’t always guaranteed. If needed, you can use a convenient service like BOUNCE, which provides secure luggage storage at nearby locations so you can enjoy your time without carrying bags around.
