I have many years of property management experience. I have also enlisted my son's good friend, Ryan, to help me host. He has hundreds of top reviews and years of experience living and working in Maui. Together, we are always available to help our guests experience the best Maui has to offer. The Mahana is my sanctuary, home-away-from-home, and my goal is for you to feel the same during your stay.<br /><br />The floor-to-ceiling windows facing the lanai offer breathtaking views of the sunset over the neighboring islands of Lāna'i and Moloka'i. <br /><br />The studio features a king Murphy bed. Unlike many Murphy beds, this one features a true king size, medium-firm mattress on a sturdy metal Murphy bed frame. Most guests leave it down for their entire stay and use it much like a traditional king bed. Please note that, as with most Murphy beds, there is no headboard. <br /><br />Warm wood accents and classic Asian island-inspired decor create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that will instantly put you at ease.<br /><br />The Mahana is about as close to the ocean as it gets, offering breathtaking views up and down uncrowded North Ka'anapali Beach in West Maui with direct beach access at the Southern end of the property. A private gate from the Mahana provides easy access to the boardwalk, which goes for miles and leads to the Kaanapali Beach resort area. Take a short walk on the boardwalk or the beach to Duke’s restaurant next door or one of the nearby resorts for fine dining and entertainment. There is direct ocean access in the middle of the property and excellent snorkeling. The beach size varies greatly with the tides and season.<br /><br />Inside the condo:<br />-One free parking space. One car maximum. I usually send detailed instructions one week before your arrival date. The door uses a personalized electronic key code. Check-in is anytime after 4 pm and check-out is anytime before 10 am<br /><br />**2023 LAHAINA FIRE**<br />The condo is in a beautiful area north of the fire, and all restaurants, buildings, and beaches were undamaged. This is also the case for the surrounding neighborhoods. All of my favorite beaches were untouched, and there are tons of great restaurants in Ka'anapali, Kahana, Napili, and Kapalua, just minutes from the condo. The road to Hana and my favorite hikes are still open and will likely be less crowded than they used to be.<br /><br />**MAJOR USA HOLIDAYS**<br />Reservations checking in/out ON THE DAY OF: Thanksgiving Day (November), Christmas Day (12/25), New Year's Day (01/01), Easter, and July 4th will be subject to an additional $200 cleaning surcharge to provide my housekeeper holiday pay. If you check in/out the day before or after, there is no surcharge.<br /><br />***This property is Hotel Zoned and NOT in danger of any short term rental ban.***<br /><br /><b>Guest access</b><br />The entire condo is exclusively yours! The common areas are the heated oceanfront pool/jet spa, BBQs, lobby, parking, tennis/pickleball, and shuffleboard courts.<br /><br /><b>Other things to note</b><br />The beach size in Hawaii varies greatly month to month due to weather, heavy surf, strong currents, and tides. <br /><br />Maui is a tropical island and tends to have bugs and ants during certain times of the year. Although the exterior of the building is routinely treated to help combat this issue and the condo is thoroughly cleaned between each guest, it greatly helps if you leave the screens shut and don't leave any food out to avoid unwanted creatures. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii.<br /><br />My condo is independently managed and not part of a hotel. There are some conveniences, such as daily linen service, that the large hotels provide, and I simply can't offer. My goal is to provide a home-away-from-home, relaxed island stay.<br /><br />South Korea: I am no longer able to accept reservations from guests whose home location is in South Korea. Unfortunately, their laws on last-minute cancellations do not follow my cancellation policies.<br /><br />Your visit can make such a positive impact on the island.
